The speedometer shows car speed in kilometers per hour (fig. 1.53).

The odometer shows the general run of the car in kilometers (see fig. 1.53). The index of a run of the car for a trip shows the distance passed from the moment of the last installation of the index on zero. Dumping of indications on zero is carried out by pressing the button located under a speedometer.

The tachometer shows the frequency of rotation of a bent shaft of the engine (in thousands of revolutions per minute) (fig. 1.54).

       PREVENTION

In order to avoid an engine exit out of operation avoid excess of admissible frequency of rotation of a bent shaft (the arrow should not come into a red zone of a scale).

The device shows temperature of cooling liquid of the engine (fig. 1.55).

       PREVENTION

If the arrow of the index is in a red zone of a scale or is even higher, stop the car, kill the engine and let's it cool down. It is forbidden to continue the movement at an engine overheat.

       PREVENTION

Do not uncover on the hot engine of a broad tank of the cooling system. It can lead to severe burns the splashes and steam of cooling liquid leaving under pressure from under a cover.

The device shows fuel level in a tank (fig. 1.56).

Filling capacity of the fuel tank makes 50 l. The arrow of the index can move to time of braking, dispersal of the car or when passing turns. It is caused by dynamic movements of fuel in a tank.

Inclusion of a control lamp demonstrates that all reserve of fuel will be spent soon. The control lamp lights up when in a tank there are about 7,5 l of fuel.

The control lamp lights up when in a tank of windscreen washer there is not enough liquid. At inclusion of a control lamp add liquid in a tank.

       PREVENTION

Operation of the car without liquid reserve in a tank of windscreen washer can constitute danger. Periodically check liquid level in a tank.

The control lamp lights up at inclusion of ignition and continues to burn in operating time of a starter. The control lamp dies away at once after launch of the engine. Inclusion of a control lamp at the working engine demonstrates existence of malfunction in systems of the engine. At the same time the electronic control unit passes with the engine into emergency operation of work which allows to continue the movement. For elimination of malfunction address the dealer or on the service station Daewoo. He should operate the car long time at the included control lamp as it leads to increase in fuel consumption and decrease in traction and dynamic properties of the car. Short-term inclusions of a control lamp are the normal phenomenon and are not connected with emergence of refusals in systems of the engine.

The control lamp lights up at turning on of the parking brake (ignition is included). Before a start of motion of the car be convinced that the parking brake is switched off completely. At the same time the control lamp has to go out. If the control lamp continues to burn also after full switching off of the parking brake, it can indicate dangerous falling of level of brake fluid in a tank of the brake system.

       PREVENTION

Operation of the car at the included control lamp constitutes danger. Immediately address on the service station Daewoo for check of serviceability and repair of the brake system.

The control lamp lights up at inclusion of ignition (it is provided for control of serviceability of a lamp) and has to go out after launch of the engine. If the control lamp lights up during the movement of the car, it indicates dangerous pressure drop in the engine lubrication system. Immediately stop and switch off the engine. Check oil level in the engine. At the normal level of oil it is necessary to address on the nearest service station Daewoo for check of the lubrication system.

       PREVENTION

Do not operate the engine at the included control lamp of pressure drop of oil. If at the same time the level of oil is normal, it is necessary to interrupt a trip and to address immediately the dealer or on the service station Daewoo.

Inclusion of a control lamp testifies to the category of the rechargeable battery. The control lamp lights up at inclusion of ignition for control of serviceability of a lamp and has to die away after launch of the engine. If the control lamp lights up at the movement of the car, perform the following operations.

– curtail on a roadside and stop;

– check a tension and integrity of a belt of the drive of the electric generator;

– if the belt is tense normally, then malfunction arose in the generator or the relay regulator. It is necessary to find and eliminate immediately malfunction, having addressed the dealer or on the nearest service station Daewoo.

       PREVENTION

It is not necessary to continue the movement at break or weakening of a tension of a belt of the drive of the generator. It will lead to an engine overheat.

The control lamp blinks at inclusion of indexes of turn or the alarm light system. The speeded-up blinking of a control lamp indicates malfunction of a lamp of the index of turn.

       NOTE

In order to avoid creation of an emergency on the road it is necessary to replace the fused lamp of the index of turn at once. If indicators in the form of green arrows do not turn on at all, check an electric safety lock and serviceability of lamps.

The control lamp burns if one of doors is open or not completely closed.

       PREVENTION

Before a start of motion it is necessary to be convinced that the control lamp is switched off.

The control lamp burns at the included ignition (the ignition key is turned in situation "II") until the seat belt of the driver is not fastened. Besides, at turn of the ignition key situation "II" joins the warning sound signal if the seat belt of the driver is not fastened. The signal sounds during 4–6 pages.

The control lamp lights up at inclusion of ignition and has to go out after launch of the engine. If the control lamp does not light up at inclusion of ignition, address the closest dealer or on the service station Daewoo.

If the control lamp joins in time of the movement of the car, stop in the safe place and kill the engine. Then again launch the engine. If the control lamp lights up again during the movement, then ABS is faulty. Address the dealer or on the nearest service station Daewoo for check of serviceability and repair of ABS. It must be kept in mind that inclusion of a control lamp demonstrates refusal only of ABS. The working brake system of the car at the same time remains in completely operating state. As soon as possible address the dealer or on the service station Daewoo for elimination of refusal of ABS.

The control lamp lights up at inclusion of driving beam of headlights.

The control lamp shows position of the lever of the selector of ranges of the transmission. The control lamp blinks if the lever is in situation "R" (backing).

The control lamp lights up approximately on 4 with at inclusion of ignition and has to go out after launch of the engine. The control lamp lights up when pressing the button of inclusion of the dynamic mode of switching of the automatic transmission. At the same time control of the transmission is exercised according to the program which provides full realization of traction and dynamic properties of the car.

If the control lamp joins in time of the movement of the car without pressing the button of the dynamic mode, it demonstrates emergence of refusal in a control system of the automatic transmission. Address the dealer or on the station of service network Daewoo.

The control lamp lights up when pressing the button of inclusion of the "winter" mode of the automatic transmission. The button is located on the central console in front of the lever of the selector of ranges of the transmission.

The control lamp lights up at inclusion of electric heaters of back glass and external rear-view mirrors. At the same time ignition has to be included (the ignition key is turned in situation "II").

The control lamp lights up at inclusion of forward fog lights.

The control lamp lights up at inclusion of back fog lamps.

The control lamp has to light up approximately on 4 with at inclusion of ignition for confirmation of serviceability of system of a safety cushion. If the control lamp does not light up at inclusion of ignition, or continues to burn longer 4 with, or lights up (constantly or blinks) during the movement of the car it means that in system of a safety cushion there was a malfunction. In case of the road accident the safety cushion will not work. Immediately address the dealer or on the service station Daewoo for elimination of malfunction of a safety cushion.

For inclusion or switching off of devices of external lighting turn the handle located on the end of a control lever indexes of turn (fig. 1.57). There are three provisions of the handle.

1. External lighting is switched off.

2. Dimensional, parking lamps, lamps of illumination of registration plate and illumination of the dashboard are included.

3. All listed above devices of lighting and in addition passing beam of headlights are switched on.

If the ignition key is turned in situation "B" or "I" at the included lighting, the warning sound signal which reminds of need to switch off lighting is distributed.

       NOTE

Asymmetric illumination of a forward zone which headlights of passing beam give provides the best visibility of the right side of a lane and roadside. At operation of the car in the countries with left-hand traffic it is necessary to stick with the black screen a 15-degree segment of lenses of headlights.

Indexes of turn join when moving the lever to the top or lower fixed situation (fig. 1.60). Return of a steering wheel to neutral situation (at a car exit from turn) is followed by automatic return of the lever to an initial position with simultaneous switching off of indexes of turn.

When changing a lane move a control lever up or down to the intermediate not fixed position and hold it in the course of maneuver commission. After an otpuskaniye the lever will return to average situation.

       NOTE

In order to avoid a discharge of the rechargeable battery it is not necessary to leave lighting included at the idle engine.

For inclusion of driving beam of headlights press a control lever from yourself (to the control panel) (fig. 1.59). At inclusion of driving beam of headlights in combinations of devices the corresponding control lamp lights up.

For inclusion of driving beam of headlights at any position of the central switch of lighting press a control lever towards a steering wheel (fig. 1.60). At an otpuskaniye the lever will come back to a starting position.

For inclusion of a screen wiper of a windshield move the right control lever (fig. 1.61) up. The screen wiper works at the included ignition.

Provision of "OFF": the screen wiper is switched off.

Provision of "INT": faltering operating mode of a screen wiper.

Provision of "LO": a constant operating mode of a screen wiper with a low speed.

Provision of "HI": a constant operating mode of a screen wiper with a high speed

       PREVENTION

He include a screen wiper if a windshield dry. It can lead to formation of scratches on glass. Do not include a screen wiper if brushes are closed up with snow or froze to glass. It can put system of a screen wiper out of action.

Windscreen washer of a windshield joins when pressing the right control lever towards itself (ignition has to be included) (fig. 1.62). Liquid of windscreen washer moves on glass until the lever keeps in the pressed situation. At the same time with windscreen washer the screen wiper which brushes make four cycles automatically joins. After a lever otpuskaniye it comes back to a starting position.

       PREVENTION

Driving without liquid reserve in a tank of windscreen washer of a windshield can constitute danger. Periodically check liquid level in a windscreen washer tank.

At negative ambient temperature do not include windscreen washer until the windshield enough gets warm. Otherwise liquid of windscreen washer can freeze on glass that will lead to deterioration in visibility through a windshield.

Electric heaters of back glass and external rear-view mirrors join approximately for 10 min. when pressing the button of the switch (fig. 1.63). At the same time the ignition key has to be turned in situation "II". After the expiration of this time electric heaters are automatically switched off.

At inclusion of electric heaters of glass and mirrors the corresponding control lamp lights up. Electric heaters can be switched off forcibly before the expiration of 10 min. by repeated pressing of the same button.

       PREVENTION

In order to avoid damage of an electrowire grid of a heater it is not necessary to use scrapers and other sharp tools, and also the detergents containing abrasive components for cleaning of an internal surface of back glass.

Fog lights provide improvement of visibility in fog and during snowfall. Fog lights join when pressing the button (at the same time the central switch of lighting should not be in the provision of "OFF") (fig. 1.64). At inclusion of fog lights the corresponding control lamp lights up.

The control lamp continues to burn while fog lights remain included. For switching off of fog lights it is necessary to press the same button once again.

To adjust intensity of illumination of a combination of devices, press the handle of the regulator (fig. 1.65). Intensity of illumination is regulated by rotation of the corrugated handle in this or that party (fig. 1.66).

Press the button to turn on the alarm light system (fig. 1.67). For switching off of the alarm system once again press the same button.

During the operation of the alarm system all indexes of turn and synchronously with them both control lamps of indexes of turn located in a combination of devices at the same time blink.

The alarm system works both at included, and at the switched-off ignition.

For inclusion of back fog lamps press the button (at the same time forward fog lights have to be included) (fig. 1.68). At inclusion of fog lamps the corresponding control lamp lights up. Switching off of back fog lamps is made by repeated pressing of the same button.

       PREVENTION

Use of back fog lamps in night-time and during wet weather can lead to dazzle of drivers of the cars going behind and to the road accident. Include back lamps only in strong fog.

To establish the desirable duration of a pause between cycles of work of a screen wiper, press the handle of the regulator (fig. 1.69). At rotation of the corrugated handle in this or that party pause duration between consecutive cycles of work of a screen wiper of a windshield changes in the range from 4 to 24 with (fig. 1.70). The regulator operates only at inclusion of a faltering operating mode of a screen wiper (the provision of "INT").

The proofreader of light of headlights is located on the central console near the lever of the parking brake (fig. 1.71).

At the turned-on passing beam of headlights adjust the direction of light bunches depending on car loading.

   Situation 0: the driver and the passenger on a front seat.

   Situation 1: driver and four passengers.

   Situation 2: the driver, four passenger and freight in a luggage carrier.

   Situation 3: the driver and freight in a luggage carrier.

On the panel of a plafond three switches (fig. 1.72) are located.

By pressing this switch the plafond is constantly included.

By pressing this switch the plafond joins and switched off respectively when opening and closing doors.

The plafond is switched constantly off irrespective of the provision of doors.

Buttons of installation of indications of hours and minutes (fig. 1.73).

1. The button N – installation of indications of hours (the ignition key is turned in situation "II".) Press the button N for installation of indications of hours. Deduction of the button in the pressed situation causes bystry change of indications.

2. The button M – installation of indications of minutes (the ignition key is turned in situation "II".) Press the button M for installation of indications of minutes. Deduction of the button in the pressed situation causes bystry change of indications.

3. The button S – installation of indications of hours on a signal of the exact time (the ignition key is turned in situation "II".) For installation of indications of hours on a signal of the exact time press the button S.

For example, if the button S was pressed when hours showed time between 8:00 and 8:29, on the display the indication 8:00 is established. If the button S was pressed when hours showed time between 8:30 and 8:59, on the display the indication 9:00 is established.

4. The DISP button – inclusion of indication of hours (ignition is switched off.) To learn time at the switched-off ignition, press the DISP button. At the same time the display of hours will turn on.

The antisolar peaks supplied with a soft lining can be lifted, lowered or developed for protection of eyes of the driver and the passenger against bright light aside

For extraction of an ashtray from a nest undertake from above and from below the case of an ashtray and extend it outside (see fig. 1.78).

The additional ashtray for passengers on a back seat is installed in a back part of the central console.

       PREVENTION

Do not use an ashtray for folding of garbage. The burning stubs and matches placed in an ashtray can ignite garbage and cause the fire.

The lighter is near a forward ashtray (fig. 1.79). Open a cover of a forward ashtray. To use the lighter, turn the ignition key in situation "II" and press the lighter handle before operation of a clamp.

       PREVENTION

Do not hold forcibly the lighter handle in the drowned situation. Do not touch with fingers the cylindrical case of a spiral of the lighter as it heats up to high temperature. Do not use a cartridge of the lighter for connection of such electric devices as, for example, the electrorazor or the electrocoffee maker. It can lead to damages. If the handle of the lighter does not come back to a starting position through 30 from later inclusion, take out the lighter from the boss to avoid a spiral overheat.

After heating of a spiral the handle of the lighter will automatically return to a starting position. The lighter is ready to use.

To open a cover of a ware box, press the button and pull a cover on yourself (fig. 1.80). Locking and unlocking of the lock of a cover of a ware box is made by means of a key. Insert a key into a cut of the cylinder of the lock and turn it on or counterclockwise, respectively.

When opening a cover of a ware box the internal plafond of illumination of a box automatically joins (the ignition key has to be turned in situation "II").

       PREVENTION

For reduction of probability of traumatizing at the road accident or sharp braking of the car always you hold a cover of a ware box closed.

For inclusion of a plafond press on the lens in that place which is noted by a sign "O" (fig. 1.81). The plafond is switched off by repeated pressing the same place.
