13.2. Rack steering transfer
Check of level and dolivka of liquid
Level of working liquid of the amplifier of the steering mechanism is determined by tags on the probe fixed on a tank cover.
NOTE
At addition or full replacement of liquid always use liquid for the amplifier of the steering Dexron 11 (B0401Q04) mechanism. When using improper liquid damage of hoses and consolidations, and also liquid leak is possible.
When heating liquid approximately to 66 °C the level of liquid has to be between marks of "MOUNTAINS" and "HOL".
If liquid is cooled approximately to 21 °C, the level of liquid has to be between the marks "ADD" and "HOL".
Removal of air from the hydraulic drive of the amplifier of steering
If maintenance of hydraulic system of steering was carried out, then it is impossible to define exact value of level of liquid, without having removed air from system. Removal of air needs to be carried out in the following order.
1. Turn wheels to the left against the stop and add liquid to a tag of "HOL" on the probe.
2. Start the engine. At the working engine on accelerated single to the course double-check liquid level. If necessary add liquid to the mark "HOL".
3. Remove air from system, turning wheels here and there, but not leading up them against the stop. Support liquid level at the level of the mark "HOL ". The liquid containing air has light brown or red coloring. For achievement of normal operation of the steering mechanism this air needs to be removed from liquid.
4. Establish wheels in the central situation and leave the engine to work 2 - 3 more min.
5. Carry out road tests of the car to be convinced of normal functioning of steering and that in it there are no extraneous noises.
6. Double-check liquid level according to steps 1 and 2. Make sure that the level of liquid is on a mark of "MOUNTAINS" after achievement of normal working temperature.
Rack steering transfer
Elements of rack steering transfer with steering drafts are shown in the figure 13.1.
Removal
1. Disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the rechargeable battery.
2. Remove the air filter.
3. Cut a lock level of 9 (fig. 1.13), turn out bolts and disconnect steering drafts 6 and 14 from steering transfer.
4. Remove a clip of fastening of the protection cover.
5. Remove the shock-absorber of steering transfer.
6. Moving up, remove the hinge from a shaft of steering transfer.
7. Turn out two tightening bolts of fastening of the coupling of steering transfer (fig. 13.2).
8. Disconnect pressure head and returnable pipelines from steering transfer.
9. Turn out bolts and remove steering transfer from a partition of a motor compartment.
10. Remove consolidation of a shaft of steering transfer.
11. Remove steering transfer through an opening in an arch of the right wheel.
PREVENTION
If racks were removed together with adjusting clips, repeatedly establish racks in a cowl and tighten them the required moment. After the third use of a rack it is necessary to use set for threaded connections 1052624.
Installation
1. Establish steering transfer through an arch of the right wheel.
2. Establish consolidation of a partition of a motor compartment on steering transfer.
3. Establish steering transfer and самоконтрящимися fix by nuts both rubber plugs on a partition of a motor compartment, having tightened nuts the moment of 22 N • m (fig. 13.3).
PREVENTION
Crossbeams of steering transfer have to be aligned on diagonal and go down.

4. Establish both steering drafts on steering transfer and fix by bolts, having tightened their moment 90 N • m (fig. 13.4).
PREVENTION
At installation arrange a washer between steering draft and steering transfer.
At installation use a new lock level.
5. Install the shock-absorber of steering transfer by fastening of both holders of the shock-absorber to steering transfer. Tighten bolts of fastening of the shock-absorber the moment of 22 N • m.
6. Install the flexible coupling on a shaft of steering transfer and fix the leading gear wheel on a coupling clip. Tighten a bolt of fastening of a clip the moment of 22 N • m.
7. Press a spindle of the steering mechanism up to an emphasis on a ball of a spindle and fix a spindle of the steering mechanism on a coupling clip. Tighten a bolt of fastening of a clip the moment of 22 N • m.
8. Make sure that steering transfer is in vertical position.
9. Connect a wire to the negative plug of the rechargeable battery.
10. Fix pressure head and returnable pipelines of steering transfer. Tighten connecting nuts of fastening of pipelines the moment of 27 N • m.
11. Install the air filter.
12. Check hydraulic system for lack of leak of liquid and if necessary eliminate them. Remove air from hydraulic system of the amplifier of steering.
Hoses and pipelines
Removal
1. Disconnect pipelines from steering transfer and the pump.
2. Remove pipelines from clamps.
3. Remove the pipeline or a hose.
Installation
1. Establish a hose or the pipeline.
2. Fix the pipeline on clamps.
3. Fix pipelines on steering transfer and the pump. Tighten connecting nuts of fastening of pipelines the moment of 27 N • m.
4. Fill in liquid and remove air from hydraulic system of the amplifier of steering. Check hydraulic system for lack of leak of liquid and if necessary eliminate them.
Tank of the amplifier of steering
Removal
1. Pump out liquid from a tank.
2. Remove clips of fastening of hoses.
3. Remove both hoses.
4. Turn out bolts of fastening of a tank.
5. Remove a tank.
Installation
1. Install a tank and fix it by screws.
2. Establish both hoses.
3. Establish clips of fastening of hoses.
4. Fill in liquid and remove air from hydraulic system of the amplifier of steering. Check hydraulic system for lack of leak of liquid and if necessary eliminate them.
Tip of steering draft
Removal
1. Remove a pin and turn off a nut of fastening of the spherical hinge of a tip of steering draft.

2. Weaken coupling bolts of 2 (fig. 13.5) of fastening of clips of steering draft.
3. Separate a tip of steering draft 4 from a rotary fist 5.
4. Separate a tip of steering draft from a connector 3.
Installation
1. Screw a tip of steering draft on a connector.
2. Fix a tip of steering draft in a rotary fist.
3. Screw a nut of fastening of a tip of steering thirst for a rotary fist and tighten its moment 75 N • m.
Adjust a convergence turn of a connector, then tighten coupling bolts the moment of 22 N • m.
Steering draft
Removal
1. Remove the lock level fixing bolts of fastening of steering thirsts for steering transfer and you will throw out it.

2. Turn out bolts of fastening of steering thirsts for steering transfer. If only one draft is removed, smoothly bring draft assembled out of space between a basic level of 2 (fig. 13.6) and the central washer of the 7th casing of a case. If both drafts are removed for the purpose of replacement, then after removal of the first draft repeatedly screw a draft fastening bolt to hold a casing of steering transfer 6 and other details in a transfer casing with the corresponding alignment.
3. Weaken a coupling bolt of fastening of a clip of steering draft.
4. Remove steering draft.
Installation
1. Establish steering draft on a connector and tighten a coupling bolt the moment of 20 N • m
2. Establish the central washer of a cover of a casing, having inserted it into a casing of steering transfer.

Screw a bolt of fastening of steering draft, having inserted it through an opening in a basic level 9 (see fig. 13.1), the hinge of steering draft 7, the central washer of a cover of a casing 22, a guide 23 and a carving opening in knot of draft and a lath 26. Tighten a bolt the moment of 90 N • m.
4. Establish a new lock level and record a bolt from an otvorachivaniye.
Hinge of steering draft
Removal
Remove steering draft (fig. 13.7).
Assembly
For installation simplification slightly grease the hinge of steering draft and press it.
Installation
Establish steering draft.
Flange and coupling of steering transfer
Removal
1. Remove steering transfer from the car.
2. Turn out a coupling bolt of 1 (fig. 13.8) from a flange and the coupling of steering transfer assembled 2.
3. Remove a flange and the coupling of steering transfer assembled from a shaft of the leading gear wheel and the valve assembled.
Installation
1. Establish a flange and the coupling of steering transfer assembled on a short shaft of the leading gear wheel and the valve assembled.
2. Turn out a coupling bolt 1 (see fig. 13.8) on a flange and the coupling of steering transfer assembled 2. Tighten a bolt the moment of 40 N • m
3. Install steering transfer on the car.
Consolidation of steering transfer
Removal
1. Remove steering transfer from the car.
2. Remove a flange and the coupling of steering transfer assembled from a shaft of the leading gear wheel and the valve assembled.
3. Remove consolidation of steering transfer of 1 (fig. 13.9).
Installation
1. Combine tags on consolidation of steering transfer and a casing of steering transfer.
2. Establish consolidation of steering transfer on a casing of steering transfer.
3. Establish a flange and the coupling of steering transfer assembled on a short shaft of the leading gear wheel and the valve assembled. Tighten a bolt the moment of 40 N • m.
4. Install steering transfer on the car.
Hydraulic pipelines
Removal
1. Remove steering transfer from the car.
2. Turn off connecting nuts and remove pipelines from a case of steering transfer.
3. Remove sealing rings from pipelines.
Installation
Grease sealing rings with working liquid for the amplifier of steering. Tighten connecting nuts of fastening of pipelines from the valve the moment of 18 N • m and from the cylinder the moment of 28 N • m.
Guide of a casing and lath
Removal
1. Remove steering transfer from the car.
2. Remove a lock level 9 (see fig. 13.1), fixing bolts of fastening of steering thirsts for steering transfer and you will throw out it.
3. Turn out bolts of the 10th fastening of steering drafts 6 and 14 to steering transfer and remove a level 11 and steering drafts.
4. Turn off connecting nuts and remove pipelines from a case of steering transfer.
5. Remove the rubber plug 36.
6. Cut and remove clips of a casing 20 and 25.
7. Smoothly remove the lock plug of a casing 21 of a casing of steering transfer 22.
8. Smoothly bring the casing assembled consisting of a casing of steering transfer 22, the lock plug of a casing of 24 and central washers of a cover of a casing 8 (established in a casing of steering transfer 22) out of a case of steering transfer 37.

9. If it is necessary, remove a lath guide assembled 1 (fig. 13.10) from steering transfer assembled.
Installation
1. Establish a lath guide assembled in draft and a lath assembled.
2. Smoothly remove the lock plug of a casing 8 of a casing of steering transfer 6.
3. Smoothly establish a new clip of a casing 7 on a casing of steering transfer 6.
4. Insert the lock plug of a casing 8 into a casing of steering transfer 6.
5. For assembly simplification slightly grease an internal ledge of the lock plug of a casing with the 8th lubricant. Smoothly enter knot into the case assembled 37 (see fig. 13.1).
PREVENTION
Make sure that the central washers of a cover of a casing 5 (see fig. 13.10) are correctly established on a casing of steering transfer 6.
6. For simplification of assembly establish a bolt of fastening of steering draft 10 (see fig. 13.1) in a guide of a lath 23 through the central washers of a cover of a casing 8. It will allow to provide the correct alignment of elements.
7. Install the lock plug of a casing 21 on a pipe of the cylinder of steering transfer assembled and smoothly insert into an end face of a casing of rack transfer 22.
8. Carry out a clip of a casing 20 from above of a cylindrical end face of a casing and establish it on a casing of steering transfer 22.
9. Smoothly enter a casing of steering transfer 22 and the lock plug of a casing 24 before landing in a flute in the case 37.
10. Establish a clip of a casing 25 on a casing of rack transfer and a corrugated clip.

11. Install a crossing point of a clip of a casing 20 over a flute in the lock plug of a casing 21 and a corrugated clip (fig. 13.11).
PREVENTION
For ensuring the correct consolidation the crossing point of a clip of a casing has to be corrugated over a flute in the lock plug of a casing.
Having established sealing rings 52 (see fig. 13.1) on pipelines 38 and 39 on a case 37 steering transfers assembled, tighten connecting nuts of fastening of pipelines from the valve the moment of 18 N • m and from the cylinder the moment of 28 N • m.
12. Screw bolts of fastening of steering drafts, having inserted them through an opening in a basic level 9 (see fig. 13.1), hinges of steering drafts 7, the central washers of a cover of a casing 22, a guide 23 and a carving opening in knot of draft and a lath 26. Tighten bolts the moment of 90 N • m.
13. Establish a new lock level 9 with tags in the correct situation over the planes of bolts of fastening of steering drafts 10.
14. Install steering transfer on the car.
Emphasis of a gear lath
Removal
1. Remove steering transfer from the car.

2. Turn out a lock nut 6 from an adjusting cap 5 (fig. 13.12).
3. Turn out an adjusting cap 5 of a casing 1.
4. Get a spring 4 and an emphasis of a gear lath 2 together with a sealing ring 3.
Installation
1. Grease an emphasis of a gear lath 2, a sealing ring 3 (attached to a lath emphasis) and an adjusting cap with the 5th lubricant on the basis of lithium.
2. Establish an emphasis of a gear lath 2 together with a sealing ring 3, a spring 4 and an adjusting cap 5 in a casing 1.
Adjustment
Having centered a lath in a casing, turn an adjusting cap 2 (fig. 13.13) clockwise before its landing to a casing bottom, then turn in the opposite direction on a corner 30 ° –40 ° and check value of torque on the leading gear wheel. The maximum moment of preliminary loading of the leading gear wheel – 1,8 N • m.
3. Screw a lock nut 3 adjusting caps on an adjusting cap 2 and tighten its moment 70 N • m, at the same time holding an adjusting cap from a provorachivaniye.
4. Install steering transfer on the car.
Adjustment of preliminary loading of an emphasis of a lath at maintenance of the car
1. Weaken a lock nut 3 and turn an adjusting cap 2 clockwise before its landing to a casing bottom, then turn in the opposite direction on a corner 30 ° –40 °.
2. Carry out adjustment, having lifted forward wheels and having established a steering wheel for the rectilinear movement. Surely check a possibility of return of a steering wheel to a starting position.
3. Screw a lock nut 3 adjusting caps on an adjusting cap 2 and tighten its moment 70 N • m, at the same time holding an adjusting cap from a provorachivaniye.
Consolidation and top bearing of a shaft
Removal
1. Remove steering transfer from the car.
2. Turn out a lock nut 6 (see fig. 13.12) from an adjusting cap 5.
3. Turn out an adjusting cap 5 of a casing 1.
4. Get a spring 4 and an emphasis of a gear lath 2 together with a sealing ring 3.

5. Remove a lock ring 3 (fig. 13.14).
6. Remove a dustproof cover 1 from a valvate part of a casing.
7. Holding a shaft, turn off a six-sided lock nut 2 of the leading gear wheel.
PREVENTION
If not to hold a shaft, there will be a damage of teeths of the leading gear wheel. By means of a press press the carving end of the leading gear wheel against the stop with the ball-bearing assembled 58 (see fig. 13.1).
8. Full removal of the valve and the leading gear wheel assembled is not required.
9. Remove a dustproof sealing ring of a shaft 4, a sealing ring 5 and a ring of the bearing of a shaft assembled 6 from the valvate end of the case.
Installation
1. Install the valve assembled in the case.
2. Holding a shaft, screw a lock nut 2 (see fig. 13.14) on the carving end of the leading gear wheel.
PREVENTION
Holding a shaft, tighten a lock nut the moment of 30 N • m. If not to hold a shaft, there will be a damage of teeths of the leading gear wheel.
3. Install a dustproof cover 1 on the case.
4. Establish a ring of the bearing of short axis 6 on a shaft, smoothly enter a shaft into a casing.
5. Establish a consolidation safety lock on a shaft.
6. Install a sealing ring 5 and a dustproof sealing ring 4 in the case.
7. Establish a lock ring 3 in a case flute.
8. Grease an emphasis of a lath 59 (see fig. 13.1), the sealing ring 60 attached to the lath bearing, an adjusting spring 63 and an adjusting cap by the 62nd lubricant on the basis of lithium.
9. Establish an emphasis of a gear lath 59 together with a sealing ring 60, a spring 63 and an adjusting cap 62 in a casing.
Adjustment
Having centered a lath in a casing, turn an adjusting cap 62 clockwise before its landing to a casing bottom, then turn in the opposite direction on a corner 30 ° –40 ° and check value of torque on the leading gear wheel. The maximum moment of preliminary loading of the leading gear wheel – 1,8 N • m.
10. Screw a lock nut of 61 adjusting caps on an adjusting cap 62 and tighten its moment 70 N • m, at the same time holding an adjusting cap from a provorachivaniye.
11. Install steering transfer on the car.
Knot of the valve and gear wheel
Removal
1. Remove steering transfer from the car.
2. Turn out two tightening bolts of fastening of the coupling of steering transfer.
3. Remove a flange and the coupling of steering transfer assembled from a shaft of the leading gear wheel and the valve assembled.
4. Remove consolidation of steering transfer 1 (see fig. 13.9).
5. Turn out a lock nut 6 (see fig. 13.12) from an adjusting cap 5.
6. Turn out an adjusting cap from the case.
7. Get a spring 4 and an emphasis of a gear lath 2 together with a sealing ring 3.
8. Remove a lock ring 48 (see fig. 13.1) from the case 37.
9. Remove a dustproof cover 56 from the case 37.
10. Holding a shaft, turn off a lock nut 55 from the leading gear wheel.
PREVENTION
If not to hold a shaft, there will be a damage of teeths of the leading gear wheel.
11. Having centered steering transfer, note the provision of a shaft on a casing, it will help to make assembly correctly.
PREVENTION
By means of a press as far as possible to a vypressuyta the carving end of the leading gear wheel, will not become possible yet to remove the valve and the leading gear wheel 49 assembled from the case.
12. Remove a dustproof sealing ring of a shaft 43, a sealing ring 42, a shaft bearing ring assembled 41, the leading gear wheel and the valve assembled 49 (together with a lock ring 48 and rings of the valve 40).
13. If replacement is required, remove valve 40 rings from the leading gear wheel and the valve assembled 49.
Installation
1. Establish new rings of the valve to the leading gear wheel and the valve assembled 49. If new valves of the case of the valve are required, it is necessary to be very careful not to cut a ring at installation.
2. Establish the lath 26 centered in its case 37.

3. Establish the leading gear wheel and the valve assembled 2 (fig. 13.15) (together with a lock ring 4 and rings of the valve 3) in a casing. It will help to prevent damage of rings of the case of the valve at installation of the leading gear wheel and the valve assembled.
PREVENTION
After full landing of the leading gear wheel and the valve assembled establish a shaft at a tag and note alignment on the case, then center a lath in a casing.
4. Holding a shaft, tighten a lock nut 57 (see fig. 13.1) on a carving of the leading gear wheel the moment of 30 N • m.
PREVENTION
If not to hold a shaft, there will be a damage of teeths of the leading gear wheel.
5. Establish a dustproof cover 56 on the case 37.
6. Establish a bearing 41 ring on a shaft and smoothly enter into the case.
7. Establish a consolidation safety lock on a shaft.
8. Establish a sealing ring of a shaft 42 and a sealing ring 43 in a casing.
9. Establish a lock ring 48 in a flute in a case 37.
10. Grease an emphasis of a lath 59, the sealing ring 60 attached to the lath bearing, an adjusting spring 63 and an adjusting cap by the 62nd lubricant on the basis of lithium.
11. Establish an emphasis of a gear lath 59 together with a sealing ring 60, a spring 63 and an adjusting cap 62 in a casing.
Adjustment
Having centered a lath in a casing, turn an adjusting cap 63 clockwise before its landing to a casing bottom, then turn in the opposite direction on a corner 30 ° –40 ° and check value of torque on the leading gear wheel. The maximum moment of preliminary loading of the leading gear wheel – 1,8 N • m.
12. Screw a lock nut of 61 adjusting caps on an adjusting cap 62 and tighten its moment 70 N • m, at the same time holding an adjusting cap from a provorachivaniye.
13. Establish consolidation 45 on a case 37.
14. Establish a flange and the coupling of steering transfer assembled on a short shaft of the leading gear wheel and the valve assembled.
15. Turn out a coupling bolt 46 on a flange and the coupling of steering transfer assembled and tighten its moment 25 N • m.
16. Install steering transfer on the car.
Repair of steering transfer
Dismantling
1. Remove steering transfer from the car.
2. Turn out tightening a bolt of fastening of the coupling of steering transfer.
3. Remove a flange and the coupling 47 of steering transfer assembled from a shaft of the leading gear wheel and the valve assembled 49.
4. Remove consolidation of steering transfer 46.
5. Remove the lock level 9 fixing bolts of fastening of steering thirsts for steering transfer and you will throw out it.
6. Turn out bolts of fastening of steering thirsts for steering transfer and remove a basic level of bolts 11 and steering drafts 6 and 14.
7. Turn off connecting nuts and remove pipelines 38 and 39 from a case of steering transfer together with sealing rings 52.
8. Turn out bolts and remove steering transfer from a partition of a motor compartment.
9. Smoothly remove the lock plug of a casing 21 of a casing of steering transfer 22.
10. Smoothly bring the casing assembled consisting of a casing of steering transfer, the lock plug of a casing of 24 and central washers of a cover of a casing 8 (established in a casing of steering transfer 22), out of a case of steering transfer 37.
11. Remove a lath guide assembled 23 from steering transfer assembled.
12. Turn out a lock nut 61 from an adjusting cap 62.
13. Turn out an adjusting cap 62 of a case 37.
14. Get a spring 63 and an emphasis of a gear lath 14 together with a sealing ring 60.
15. Remove a sealing ring 44 of a case 37.
16. Remove a dustproof cover 56 from a case 37.
17. Holding a shaft, turn off a six-sided lock nut 55 of the leading gear wheel.
PREVENTION
If not to hold a shaft, there will be a damage of teeths of the leading gear wheel.
18. Having centered steering transfer, note the provision of a shaft on a casing, it will help to make assembly correctly.
PREVENTION
By means of a press, as far as possible, to a vypressuyta the carving end of the leading gear wheel, will not become possible yet to remove the valve and the leading gear wheel 49 assembled from the case.
19. Remove a dustproof sealing ring of a shaft 43, a sealing ring 42, a shaft bearing ring assembled 41, the leading gear wheel and the valve assembled 49 (together with a lock ring 48 and rings of the valve 40).
20. Remove the cylinder assembled 35 from a case 37. Before removal note position of fasteners on a casing.
21. Remove a lath of the directing piston draft assembled from a casing.
A. Turn off a six-sided nut 34 from draft and a lath assembled 26.
B. Remove the piston 30 with a sealing ring 32 and a piston ring 33, a guide of piston draft in collecting (consisting of a guide of a piston ring 29, a sealing ring 31 and consolidations of piston draft 28) and a basic washer of consolidation of the 27th draft and a lath assembled 26.
B. Remove a sealing ring 31, consolidation of piston draft 28 from the directing piston draft 29.

22. Remove a lock ring 1 (fig. 13.16) from the case 3.
23. Remove the bearing of the leading gear wheel assembled 2 from the case 3.
24. Remove consolidation of a shaft of a gear wheel 50 (see fig. 13.1) and the leading gear wheel 51 from a case 37.
Clear details of the remains of liquid of the amplifier of steering. Make sure that a carving part of a casing is free from alien materials. Wipe details dry.
Installation
1. Grease all consolidations with working liquid for the amplifier of steering.

2. Install the leading gear wheel 2 (fig. 13.17) in the internal diameter of the valve in the case.
3. Establish consolidation of a shaft of the leading gear wheel 1 in the internal diameter of the valve.
4. By means of a press install the bearing of the leading gear wheel assembled 58 (see fig. 13.1) in a case 37.
5. Establish a lock ring 1 (fig. 13.18) in a case flute.
PREVENTION
Pay attention to the correct provision of a lock ring 1 before installation.
A. Establish consolidation of piston draft 28 (see fig. 13.1) and a sealing ring 32 on a guide of piston draft 29.
B. Establish a sealing ring 31, a piston ring 33 with the piston of a lath 30.
B. Smoothly put on a basic washer of consolidation 27, a guide of piston draft assembled, the lath piston draft and a lath assembled 26.
G. Screw a six-sided nut 34 on draft and a lath assembled and tighten its moment 30 N • m.
6. Smoothly insert a lath of the directing piston draft assembled into a casing.
7. Put one small drop of "Loktita-242" in three points which are at identical distance from each other around a carving part of a casing.
PREVENTION
Surely use "Loktit-242" in enough to provide easy removal of a pipe of the cylinder assembled 35 if subsequently repair is required.
8. Establish a cylinder pipe assembled 35 over a piston ring of a lath 33 in a case 37.
PREVENTION
Surely level threaded connections on a cylinder 35 pipe with a tag on a case 37 before to tighten them to provide alignment of the cylinder at installation. Delay fastening a cylinder pipe the moment of 112 N • m.
9. Establish a lath guide assembled 23 on draft and a lath assembled 26 in a case 37.
10. Center a guide of a lath 1 (fig. 13.19) assembled in a case opening.
11. By means of J33057 adaptation establish the leading gear wheel and the valve assembled 49 (see fig. 13.1) with new rings of the valve 40 and a lock ring of a shaft 44 in a case 37.
PREVENTION
After full landing of the leading gear wheel and the valve assembled be convinced of a casing that a tag on a shaft and a tag on a casing are combined. Make sure that directing laths assembled 23 it is centered in a casing opening.
12. Holding a shaft, tighten a lock nut 55 on a carving part of the leading gear wheel the moment of 30 N • m.
13. Establish a dustproof cover 56 on a case 37.
PREVENTION
If not to hold a shaft, there will be a damage of teeths of the leading gear wheel.
14. Establish a shaft bearing ring assembled 41 on a shaft and smoothly enter in a case 37.
15. By means of J29810 adaptation establish a consolidation safety lock on a shaft.
16. Install a sealing ring of a shaft 42, a dustproof sealing ring 43 in the case.
17. Install a lock ring 44 in a flute in the case.
18. Grease an emphasis of a lath 59, the sealing ring 60 attached to the lath bearing, an adjusting spring 63 and an adjusting cap by the 62nd lubricant on the basis of lithium.
Adjustment
Having centered a lath in a casing, turn an adjusting cap 63 clockwise before its landing to a casing bottom, then turn in the opposite direction on a corner 30 ° –40 ° and check value of torque on the leading gear wheel. The maximum moment of preliminary loading of the leading gear wheel – 1,8 N • m.
19. Screw a lock nut of 61 adjusting caps on an adjusting cap 62 and tighten its moment 70 N • m, at the same time holding an adjusting cap from a provorachivaniye.
20. Smoothly remove the lock plug 24 of a casing of steering transfer.
21. Smoothly establish a new clip of a casing 25 on a casing of steering transfer.
22. Insert the lock plug 24 in a case of steering transfer 22.
23. For simplification of assembly grease an internal ledge of the lock plug 24 with lubricant. Smoothly establish knot on a casing assembled.
24. Make sure that the centered washers of a cover 8 and 13 are correctly established on a case of steering transfer 22.
25. For simplification of assembly establish a bolt of fastening of steering draft 10 through the central washers of a cover 8 and 13, directing laths 23 and slightly screw in a bolt in draft and a lath assembled 26. It will help to level elements correctly.
26. Install the lock plug of a casing 21 on a cylinder pipe assembled 35 and smoothly insert into an end face of a casing of steering transfer 22.
27. Smoothly enter a casing of rack transfer 22 and the lock plug of a casing 24 before their landing in a flute to a case 37.
28. By means of the J22610 tool establish clips of a casing 25 on a casing of steering transfer 20 and a corrugated clip.
29. Install a crossing point of a clip of a casing 20 over a groove in the lock plug of a casing 21 and a corrugated clip.
PREVENTION
For ensuring the correct consolidation the crossing point of a clip of a casing has to be corrugated over a flute in the lock plug of a casing.
30. Having established sealing rings 52 on pipelines 38 and 39 on a case of steering transfer assembled 37, tighten connecting nuts of fastening of pipelines from the valve the moment of 18 N • m and from the cylinder the moment of 28 N • m.
31. Screw bolts of fastening of steering drafts, having inserted them through an opening in a basic level 9 (see fig. 13.1), hinges of steering drafts 7, the central washers of a cover of a casing 22, a guide 23 and a carving opening in knot of draft and a lath 26. Tighten bolts the moment of 90 N • m.
32. Establish a new lock level 9 with tags in the correct situation over the planes of bolts of fastening of steering drafts 10.
33. Establish consolidation of steering transfer on a casing of steering transfer.
34. Establish a flange and the coupling of steering transfer assembled on a short shaft of the leading gear wheel and the valve assembled.
35. Tighten a coupling bolt through a flange and the coupling of the steering mechanism the moment of 25 N • m.
36. Install steering transfer on the car.
Check of steering for the movement directly forward
After performance of all necessary operations on steering transfer or a steering column (removals and installations, dismantling and repeated assembly) in each case steering for the movement directly forward is checked.

1. For implementation of check place the measuring KM-476 tool between the end of steering draft and the left mounting dredging for steering transfer (looking in the direction of the movement) (fig. 13.20, 13.21).
2. You discipline a steering wheel in this direction directly forward. The direction directly forward is reached at mm A=325 distance.
3. Performance of the following conditions is also necessary:

A. The flange bolt of a clip of a shaft of steering has to settle down horizontally from above (fig. 13.22).
B. The steering wheel has to be centered on a shaft of a steering column (spokes of a steering wheel have to settle down diagonalno and are directed down).

If the coupling bolt is located at an angle, the leading gear wheel is shifted on one tooth on a lath (a mistake at assembly) – it is necessary to improve situation of the leading gear wheel of the steering mechanism (fig. 13.23).
If the steering wheel is turned from the center more than on ±5 mm (the coupling bolt has to settle down horizontally above), by means of J36541 adaptation remove a steering wheel from a steering shaft and center on shaft vents.
