7.3. Coupling cable

Removal
1. Disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the rechargeable battery.

Fig. 7.2. Measurement of a carving part of a tip of a cable of coupling: 1 – carving part of a tip of a cable of coupling; 2 – clip; 3 – the separating lever

Measure length of a carving part of a tip of a cable acting from the separating lever and write down value (fig. 7.2).

2. Remove a clip of 1 (fig. 7.3), turn off a nut 3 and disconnect a carving tip of a cable of coupling from the separating lever.
3. Remove a coupling pedal as follows:

Fig. 7.4. Elements of fastening of a pedal of coupling: 1 – nut; 2 – spring clamp; 3 – axis; 4 – washer; 5 – returnable spring

– disconnect a returnable spring of 5 (fig. 7.4) from an arm;
– remove a spring clamp 2;
– turn off a nut 1;
– remove a washer 4;
– remove axis 3;
– remove a pedal.

4. Remove a returnable spring of 2 (fig. 7.5) and a cable of coupling 3 from a pedal of coupling 1.
5. Extend a coupling cable from a partition of a motor compartment.

Installation

Coupling elements: 1 – the separating lever; 2 – clip; 3 – nut; 4 – coupling cable; 5 – pro-masonry ring; 6 – washer; 7 – spring clamp; 8 – nut; 9 – washer; 10 – arm; 11 – axis; 12 – returnable spring; 13 – overlay of a pedal; 14 – coupling pedal; 15 – sealing ring; 16 – epiploon of a main shaft of the transmission; 17 – coupling cover; 18 – bolt; 19 – the directing basic plug; 20 – coupling switching off bearing; 21 – coupling switching off fork; 22 – plug; 23 – washer; 24 – bolt; 25 – the conducted clutch plate; 26 – press clutch plate; 27 – washer; 28 – bolt; 29 – bolt

1. Insert a coupling cable through a partition of a motor compartment from the dashboard. Establish a pro-masonry ring 5 (see fig. 7.1) and a washer 6 on a coupling cable.
2. Establish a cable of coupling 4 and a returnable spring 12 on a pedal of coupling 14.
3. Establish a pedal of coupling 14 on an arm 10.
4. Grease an axis of a pedal of coupling with jellied lubricant and establish it as follows:
– establish an axis through an arm 10 and a pedal 14;
– establish a washer 9;
– screw a nut 8;
– establish a spring clamp 7;
– establish a returnable spring 12 on an arm 10.
5. Install the coupling switch.
6. Install a coupling cable on the separating lever.
7. Screw a nut on a carving part of a tip of a cable of coupling on the same distance at which it was before removal.
8. Adjust a coupling cable.
9. Establish a clip 2.
10. Connect a wire to the negative plug of the rechargeable battery.

Adjustment of a cable of coupling
1. Measure distance from the center of a pedal of coupling to an outer edge of a steering wheel and write down the received value.
2. Completely press a pedal of coupling and measure distance between a pedal of coupling and a steering wheel and write down the received value.
3. For definition of the course of a pedal of coupling subtract the first measurement from the second. The coupling pedal course – 138–146 mm.
If the course of a pedal of coupling differs from demanded, remove a clip 2 (see fig. 7.1) and adjust a nut 3 so that the course of a pedal was in limits of 138-146 mm then establish a clip

       PREVENTION
After adjustment the pedal of coupling will be located above, than the brake pedal, and will not be a free wheeling of a pedal of coupling.
When frictional overlays of the conducted clutch plate wear out, the pedal of coupling will rise even above to the driver.
