The block of cylinders is manufactured of cast iron and has four cylinders rowed (fig. 3.1). Five radical bearings support a bent shaft and fasten covers. For ensuring necessary coaxiality and the corresponding gaps of an opening are processed for covers together with covers.

Head of the block of cylinders
The head of cylinders is cast from aluminum alloy and has channels for lubricant. Mechanisms of adjustment of gaps of valves are installed on a head of cylinders near the corresponding valves.

Bent shaft and bearings
The bent shaft has five basic (radical) necks. The third bearing is the persistent bearing preventing axial movement of a shaft. Lubricant of radical bearings is carried out through openings in channels on the left side of the block of cylinders.

Camshaft and gear belt
The pig-iron camshaft has five basic bearings located in the aluminum case of bearings installed on a head of cylinders. The pulley established on a forward part of the camshaft from powder metal is given to rotation from a pulley of a bent shaft by means of the gear belt reinforced by fiber glass.

Pistons and rods

1. Pistons are manufactured of aluminum alloy (fig. 3.2).
On each piston are established two compression and one oil scraper ring. For ensuring gradual change of pressure force of the piston on a cylinder wall during movement of the piston of an opening of piston fingers are displaced from a symmetry axis to the right side of the engine on 0,35–1,65 mm. Piston fingers freely rotate in piston reels. In a head of rods fingers are pressed with a tightness.
2. Rods are made of cast iron.
Lubricant under pressure moves to canals of rods through the openings drilled near the next basic necks.

Valvate mechanism
For the drive of valves levers which connect hydraulic compensators of gaps of valves and cores of valves are used.

Inlet collector
The inlet collector is made of aluminum, has four channels and is warmed up by circulation of cooling liquid of the engine. On an inlet collector the throttle knot is established.

Final collector
The engine has one final collector with four entrance ports, the muffler located under the car bottom and the system of production of the fulfilled gases located under the car bottom.

Engine lubrication system

The engine lubrication system – under pressure, through a full-line oil filter, by means of the gear pump (fig. 3.3). Oil is sucked in via the mesh filter in a maslopriyemny branch pipe and under pressure moves the pump on a full-line oil filter. An oil filter – full-line with the paper filtering element. For ensuring supply of oil in the engine in case of a contamination of the filter there is perepuskny a valve.
From the filter oil moves in the trunk main which greases radical bearings of a bent shaft via the crossed oil channels. The oil arriving through small openings in rods greases walls of cylinders and cools the lower part of the piston.
The trunk main has vertical channels on which oil moves through a head of cylinders in the case of bearings of the camshaft up. Oil moves in the camshaft through an opening in a neck of the third bearing. Via the channel drilled along a camshaft axis, oil moves on other necks. The neck of the third bearing has the crossed channels located in the case of bearings which direct oil to the canal drilled along the left side of a head of cylinders. In this channel the safety valve regulating the maximum pressure in the lubrication system is located.
Via this channel oil moves on mechanisms of adjustment of gaps of inlet valves, and via the channels crossing it – on the mechanism of adjustment of gaps of final valves. Lubricant of cams of the camshaft is carried out through the openings drilled in each cam. These openings cross the channel passing along the camshaft. Excess of oil from the valvate mechanism flows down back in a case through openings on the ends of a head of cylinders, and also through the openings close to basic plates of springs of inlet valves of the first, second and third cylinder.

Poliklinova belt
All auxiliary systems of the engine except for the compressor of the conditioner are set in motion by one driving belt.

The drive of the compressor of the conditioner is carried out by means of a maple belt from a pulley of a bent shaft. All equipment set in motion by a poliklinovy belt is rigidly fixed on the engine. The arrangement of a belt is shown in fig. 3.4. The tension of a belt is carried out by the sprung natyazhitel (fig. 3.5). For removal/installation of a belt turn a natyazhitel a face key on 15 mm. Natyazhitel of a driving belt provides a tension of belts with a wide range of lengths, but this range has limits. Use of a belt which length goes beyond a possibility of adjustment by a natyazhitel can lead to an insufficient tension of a belt and/or breakage of a natyazhitel.

       PREVENTION
Be attentive when applying torque to a natyazhitel that not to bend it and not to draw as the natyazhitel can damage it.

At regular survey of a belt in his edges cracks which do not influence its working capacity can be found and, therefore, should not be considered as the reason causing the necessity of replacement of a belt. However if there was a slipping of a belt or there are no several sections of edges of a belt, the belt needs to be replaced.

Check
If burning of a belt is noticed, check that a natyazhitel and a belt lie in one plane and edges of a belt do not rub about sidewalls of a pulley of a natyazhitel. If a natyazhitel or intermediate pulleys make a sound of high-pitch tone, check a condition of bearings.

Check of a tension of a poliklinovy belt
1. For check of length of a belt, examine the provision of tags of a natyazhitel (fig. 3.5). If the belt too stretched or its length exceeds the limit of the range of regulation of a natyazhitel, replace a belt.
2. Launch the engine (at the switched-off additional equipment) and warm up it up to the working temperature. Switch off the engine and measure by the KM-128-A tool a belt tension, having established it in the middle of a belt branch between the pump of the amplifier of steering and a pulley of a bent shaft. Remove the tool.
3. Launch the engine (at the switched-off additional equipment) and for stabilization leave it to work during 5 with at idling rotation frequency. Switch off the engine. A cap key on 18 mm tighten a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a natyazhitel clockwise. Weaken the enclosed effort and at once measure a belt tension, without violating the provision of a natyazhitel.
4. Using the same key, turn a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a natyazhitel counterclockwise and lift a natyazhitel in situation Install. Slowly lower a pulley in situation At rest and, without changing the provision of a pulley, measure a belt tension.
5. Calculate average value of three dimensions. If average value is less than 195 N and length of a belt is in adjustment range limits, replace a natyazhitel of a poliklinovy belt.

Engine mount

       PREVENTION
Before posting of the engine with the automatic transmission it is necessary to install lifting KM-263 adaptation on the center of a motor compartment and it is reliable to fix it. Misuse of this adaptation can lead to injuries.
The engine mount is not regulated and seldom demands service. At breakage or damage of details of their suspension bracket it is necessary to replace immediately as it leads to increase in load of other details of a suspension bracket and the drive.

Check of technical condition of details of an engine mount
Raise the engine so that its weight was perceived by lifting adaptation that will provide removal of loading from support and their minimum stretching. Watch support during raising of the engine. Replace a support if on it the following defects are found:
– the hardened surface of rubber cracked with high temperature;
– separation of a rubber pillow from steel plates;
– the rubber pillow burst in the middle.
If the free wheeling of metal plates concerning fastening points is noticed, tighten bolts or nuts, the fixing support to the engine, an arm or amplifiers.

Forward support of the engine
Removal
1. Disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the rechargeable battery.
2. Lifting KM-263 adaptation raise the engine before removal of loading from support.

3. Turn out 2 bolts of fastening of a support to an arm (fig. 3.6).
4. Turn out 2 top bolts of fastening of a support.
5. Lift the car on the elevator.
6. Turn out the lower bolt of fastening of a support.
7. Remove an engine support.

       PREVENTION
All removed bolts of fastening of support of the engine need to be cleared of dirt and before installation to apply on them the kontryashchy structure interfering their self-unscrewing (the blocking Loctite liquid).

Installation
1. Fix an engine support by the lower bolt.
2. Lower the car.
3. Screw 2 top bolts of fastening of a support.
4. Screw bolts of fastening of a support to an arm.
5. Remove KM-263 adaptation.
6. Connect a wire to the negative plug of the rechargeable battery.

Back support of the engine
Removal
1. Disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the rechargeable battery.
2. Lifting KM-263 adaptation raise the engine before removal of loading from support.

3. Turn out 2 bolts of fastening of a support to an arm (fig. 3.7).
4. Turn out 2 top bolts of fastening of a support.
5. Turn off the lower nuts of a support of fastening and the amplifier.
6. Remove an engine support.
Installation
1. Fix a support with the amplifier 2 nuts.
2. Lower the car.

       PREVENTION
All removed bolts of fastening of support of the engine need to be cleared of dirt and before installation to apply on them the kontryashchy structure interfering their self-unscrewing (the blocking Loctite liquid).

3. Screw bolts of fastening of a support to an arm.
4. Remove KM-263 adaptation.
5. Connect a wire to the negative plug of the rechargeable battery.

Inlet collector and/or laying

Removal
1. Remove the air filter.
2. Merge cooling liquid.
3. Take off poliklinovy a belt.
4. Remove the generator and an arm from the case of bearings of the camshaft.
5. Remove an arm of the amplifier of steering from an inlet collector.
6. Remove the pump of the amplifier of steering with an arm and take aside.
7. Remove ignition coils with an arm.
8. Remove an accelerator cable from an arm on an inlet collector.
9. Remove a cable of an accelerator and throttle knot from the case of system of injection of fuel.
10. Disconnect wires from elements of system of injection of fuel.
11. Disconnect a hose of the vacuum amplifier of brakes from the air filter. Take off pressure in fuel system.
12. Disconnect pipelines of giving and return of fuel.
13. Disconnect engine cooling system hoses from the following elements:
– the water pump and on an inlet collector;
– entrance branch pipe of the water pump.
14. For access to the lower nuts of fastening of an inlet collector remove fastening of wires of the block of electronic control.
15. Remove an inlet collector. Clear privalochny surfaces on a head of cylinders and on an inlet collector.

1. Establish an inlet collector with new laying (fig. 3.8).
2. Screw fixing nuts with washers and tighten their moment 22 N • m.
3. Establish fastening of wires of the block of electronic control.
4. Connect cooling system hoses to the following elements:
– to the water pump and inlet collector;
– to an inlet branch pipe of the water pump.
5. Connect pipelines of giving and return of fuel.
6. Connect a hose of the vacuum amplifier of brakes.
7. Connect wires to the case of the device of system of injection of fuel.
8. Connect cables of an accelerator and establish throttle knot.
9. Connect an accelerator cable to an arm on an inlet collector.
10. Install the ignition coil.
11. Install the pump of the amplifier of steering with an arm on an inlet collector.
12. Install the generator and an arm to the case of bearings of the camshaft.
13. Establish poliklinovy a belt.
14. Fill in cooling liquid.
15. Install the air filter.

Final collector and/or laying

Removal
1. Remove the air filter.
2. Disconnect wires from spark plugs and remove them holders.
3. Pick up the phone of the index of level of oil and a hose of ventilation of a case.
4. Remove a reception exhaust pipe.
5. Turn off nuts, remove a final collector and laying.
Clear privalochny surfaces on a head of cylinders and on a final collector.

Installation

1. Establish a final collector with new laying and tighten nuts the moment of 22 N • m. At first tighten nuts No. 2 and No. 3, then No. 1 and No. 4 (fig. 3.9).
2. Attach a reception exhaust pipe to a final collector and tighten nuts the moment of 25 N • m.
3. Establish a tube of the index of level of oil and a hose of ventilation of a case.
4. Establish wires of spark plugs and their holders.
5. Install the air filter.

Cover of a head of cylinders

Removal
1. Remove the air filter.
2. Remove a hose of ventilation of a case.
3. Turn out bolts.
4. Uncover a head of cylinders.
Clear privalochny surfaces on a head of cylinders and on a cover.

Installation

1. Establish a cover of a head of cylinders with new laying and fix by bolts, having tightened their moment 8 N • m (fig. 3.10).
2. Install the air filter and connect a hose of ventilation of a case.

Pulley of a bent shaft

Removal
1. Disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the rechargeable battery.
2. Take off a conditioner compressor drive belt.
3. Remove an internal protective cover.
4. Take off poliklinovy a belt.
5. Remove a pulley of a bent shaft.

Installation
1. Establish a pulley of a bent shaft.
2. Apply the kontryashchy structure interfering their self-unscrewing (the blocking Loctite liquid) on a carving of bolts and tighten bolts the moment of 27 N • m.
3. Establish poliklinovy a belt.
4. Establish a protective cover.
5. Establish a conditioner drive belt.
6. Connect a wire to the negative plug of the rechargeable battery.

Casing of a gear belt

Removal
1. Take off poliklinovy a belt.
2. Weaken a bolt of fastening of a natyazhitel of a poliklinovy belt (weaken a bolt and the lever of a natyazhitel will turn down).
3. Turn out bolts and a nut of fastening of a casing of a gear belt.
4. Remove a casing of a gear belt.

Installation
1. Establish a casing of a gear belt and fix by bolts and a nut, having tightened their moment 10 N • m
2. Establish a natyazhitel in a starting position and tighten a bolt the moment of 25 N • m.
3. Establish poliklinovy a belt.

Gear belt

Removal
1. Take off a conditioner drive belt.
2. Take off poliklinovy a belt.

3. Remove the pump of the amplifier of steering, an arm and a natyazhitel of a gear belt assembled (fig. 3.11).
4. Remove a casing of a gear belt.

Weaken bolts of fastening of the water pump and reduce a belt tension by means of MKM-472 adaptation (fig. 3.12).
Lift the car on the elevator.
5. Remove a pulley of a bent shaft.
6. Lower the car and take off a gear belt.

Installation
1. Turn pulleys of cranked and distributive shaft clockwise before combination of tags on pulleys and on a back casing of a gear belt.
2. Establish a gear belt.
3. By means of MKM-472 adaptation turn the clown of fastening of the water pump clockwise until the natyazhitel does not rest against the belt tension force limiter. Slightly tighten bolts of fastening of the water pump.
4. For final landing of a gear belt on teeths of pulleys turn a bent shaft of the engine for a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a bent shaft clockwise on 720 °.
5. Turn the clown of the water pump counterclockwise before combination of openings in the lever of a natyazhitel and in the basis. Operations have to be performed at the room temperature of the engine (about 20 °C).
6. Tighten bolts of fastening of the water pump, watching to breaking the combination of openings received on a step 5.
7. Establish a pulley of a bent shaft.
8. Establish a casing of a gear belt.
9. Install the pump of the amplifier of steering and a natyazhitel of a belt assembled.
10. Establish poliklinovy a belt.
11. Establish a conditioner compressor drive belt.
Natyazhitel of a gear belt

Removal
1. Gear belt.
2. Turn out bolts of fastening of a natyazhitel and remove a natyazhitel.

Installation
1. Establish a natyazhitel, having convinced that privalochny surfaces pure.
2. Screw a hairpin and a bolt, having tightened their moment 25 N • m.
3. Establish a gear belt.

 Camshaft pulley

Removal
1. Uncover a head of cylinders.
2. Take off a gear belt.
3. A wrench hold the camshaft from a provorachivaniye.

4. Turn out a bolt of fastening of a pulley and remove a washer and a pulley (fig. 3.13).

Installation
1. Establish a pulley and screw a bolt with a washer, having combined tags on a pulley and a back casing of a gear belt. Tighten a bolt the moment of 45 N • m.
2. Establish a gear belt.
3. Establish a casing and a cover of a head of cylinders.

Gear of a bent shaft

Removal
1. Take off a gear belt.
2. Turn out a bolt of fastening of a pulley and remove a washer and a pulley.

Installation
1. Establish a pulley on a spline of a bent shaft.
2. Screw a bolt with a washer and tighten a bolt the moment of 155 N • m.
3. Establish a gear belt.

Back casing of a gear belt

Removal
1. Take off a gear belt.
2. Remove pulleys of cranked and distributive shaft.
3. Remove a natyazhitel.
4. Turn out bolts of fastening of a casing.
5. Remove a back casing of a gear belt.

Installation
1. Establish a back casing of a gear belt.
2. Tighten bolts of fastening of a casing the moment of 10 N • m.
3. Establish a natyazhitel, having convinced that privalochny surfaces pure.
4. Establish pulleys of cranked and distributive shaft.
5. Establish a gear belt.

Forward epiploon of a bent shaft

Removal
1. Remove a pulley of a bent shaft.
2. Remove a spline and a back persistent washer from a bent shaft.
3. Remove a back casing of a gear belt.
4. An edge of the screw-driver get an epiploon.

Installation
1. Install the protective plug of KM-191 adaptation on the forward end of a bent shaft.

2. By means of KM-191 adaptation establish a new forward epiploon (fig. 3.14). Grease a working edge of a new epiploon. Remove the protective plug.
3. Establish a back casing of a gear belt
4. Establish a back persistent washer and a spline on the forward end of a bent shaft.
5. Establish a pulley of a bent shaft.

Distributive shaft / levers of valves, mechanism of adjustment of gaps of valves

Removal
1. Uncover a head of cylinders.

2. Special KM-348 adaptation squeeze a spring of the valve and remove crackers (fig. 3.15). Slowly release adaptation squeezing a spring and remove a valve spring from a head of the block of cylinders.
3. Remove levers of valves, guides of levers and adjusting bolts.
4. Remove a camshaft pulley.
5. Remove the ignition distributor.
6. Remove a persistent flange of the camshaft from a back part of the case of bearings.
7. Remove the camshaft, having shifted it along an axis back.

Installation
1. Establish by fingers a forward epiploon of the camshaft.
2. Carefully, not to damage an epiploon, install the camshaft.
3. Establish a persistent flange and fix by bolts, having tightened their moment 8 N • m. Measure the longitudinal shift of the camshaft. The side play has to be within 0,04–0,16 mm.
4. Install the ignition distributor.
5. Establish a camshaft pulley, a gear belt and a forward casing of a gear belt.
6. Establish a spring and special KM-348 adaptation, squeeze it. Establish crackers and remove the special device for compression of a spring. Several times strike with the plastic hammer a valve core end face in order that crackers were established on the places.
7. Install levers, adjusting bolts and pushers of levers in initial situation.
8. Establish a cover of a head of cylinders.

Spring of the valve and/or maslootrazhatelny cap

Removal
1. Uncover a head of cylinders.
2. Remove levers of valves, adjusting bolts, pushers.
3. Turn out a spark plug. For keeping of the valve on the place screw up an adapter in a candle opening and give air from the compressor.

4. Special KM-348 adaptation squeeze a spring of the valve and remove crackers from a valve core. Slowly release adaptation squeezing a spring and remove the top plate springs, a valve spring, maslootrazhatelny caps, covers of final valves and a washer of inlet valves (fig. 3.16).

Installation
1. Establish a cover of final valves or a washer of inlet valves.
2. Install the plastic plug on a valve core, having oiled it engine.
3. Establish a new maslootrazhatelny cap on a cover or a washer and the plug of the valve. Remove the plastic plug.
4. Establish springs of valves, covers, crackers and pushers, using KM-348 adaptation.
5. Remove adapters and screw spark plugs.
6. Install levers of valves and adjusting bolts in initial situation.
7. Establish a cover of a head of cylinders.

Head of cylinders and/or case of bearings of the camshaft

       PREVENTION
When weakening fastening of the case of bearings of a distributive shaft / head of cylinders it is necessary to replace laying of a head of cylinders. To weaken fastening of bolts it is allowed only on the cold engine. Bolts of a head of cylinders need also to be replaced.

Removal
1. Remove the air filter.
2. Merge cooling liquid.
3. Disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the rechargeable battery.
4. Take off poliklinovy a belt.
5. Remove the generator and an arm from the case of bearings.
6. Remove the ignition coil.
7. Remove the distributor of ignition and wire.
8. Remove cables from the following elements:
– arm of an inlet collector;
– cases of throttle knot or butterfly valve;
– cable of switching to the lowest transfer.
9. Disconnect wires of the block of electronic control from the device of system of injection or throttle knot and an inlet collector.
10. Disconnect hoses from the following elements:
– vacuum amplifier of brakes;
– pipelines of giving and return of fuel;
– a heater radiator from an inlet collector and the water pump;
– ventilating valve of the case of bearings;
– radiator (top hose).

       PREVENTION
Fuel pipelines are under pressure. The detachment of the pipeline can cause spraying of fuel and lead to a trauma. Do not disconnect the pipeline, without having taken off in it pressure.

11. Disconnect a reception exhaust pipe from a final collector.
12. Disconnect wires of the following elements:
– a plait of wires from the engine;
– from the thermostat case.
13. Take off a gear belt and a back casing.

14. Weaken bolts of fastening of the case of bearings of a distributive shaft / head of cylinders in the sequence specified fig. 3.17 (the engine has to be cold).
15. Remove the case of bearings of the camshaft, levers of valves and adjusting bolts.
16. Remove a head of cylinders with inlet and final collectors.
Clear the surfaces of a head of cylinders and the block of cylinders adjacent to laying, of oil and dirt. Surfaces should not have jags or deep scratches. The carving in the block of cylinders has to be pure. Availability of dirt influences the moment of tightening of bolts.

1. Apply a continuous layer of sealant 3 mm thick on the sealing surface of the case of bearings of the camshaft (fig. 3.18).
2. Establish a head of cylinders with new laying (having attached inlet and final collectors if they were disconnected).
3. Screw adjusting bolts and establish pushers of levers and levers.
4. Install the case of bearings of the camshaft on a head of cylinders.
5. Screw new bolts of fastening of the case of bearings and a head of cylinders and tighten them in several stages in the sequence shown in the figure 3.19:
a) all bolts moment of 25 N • m;

b) tighten bolts on a corner 60 ° (fig. 3.20);
c) tighten bolts on a corner 60 °;
d) tighten bolts on a corner 60 °.
6. Establish a back casing of a gear belt and a gear belt.
7. Connect wires to the following elements:
– a plait to the engine;
– to the thermostat case.
8. Connect a reception exhaust pipe to a final collector.
9. Connect hoses to the following elements:
– to a radiator (top hose);
– to the ventilating valve of the case of bearings of the camshaft;
– to an inlet collector and water pump;
– to the pipeline of giving and removal of fuel;
– to the vacuum amplifier of brakes.
10. Connect wires of the block of electronic control to the device of system of injection of fuel or to throttle knot and an inlet collector.
11. Connect cables to the following elements:
– to an arm on an inlet collector;
– to the device of injection or throttle knot;
– to a cable of switching to the lowest transfer.
12. Install the distributor of ignition and connect wires.
13. Install the ignition coil.
14. Install the generator and an arm to the case of bearings.
15. Connect a wire to the negative plug of the rechargeable battery.
16. Fill in cooling liquid.
Launch the engine and let's it work before opening of the thermostat.

Tighten bolts of fastening of the case of bearings of a distributive shaft / head of cylinders for 30 ° –50 ° in the sequence given on fig. 3.19 and 3.20.
17. Install the air filter.

Oil pallet

Removal
1. Disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the rechargeable battery.
2. Lift the car and fix on support.
3. Merge oil from the oil pallet.
4. Disconnect a reception exhaust pipe from a final collector.
5. Turn out four bolts of fastening of a flywheel.
6. Turn out bolts and remove the oil pallet, the mesh filter.
Clear sealing surfaces of a case, the block of cylinders, the mesh filter and oil pallet.
Clear the oil pallet and carving openings for bolts of fastening of the oil pallet.

Installation

1. Apply RTV sealant, as shown in fig. 3.21, and install the oil pallet, the mesh filter and new laying.
2. Apply the kontryashchy structure interfering their self-unscrewing (the blocking Loctite liquid) on a carving of bolts and tighten their moment 5 N • m.
3. Screw a stopper and tighten its moment 45 N • m.
4. Screw four bolts of fastening of a flywheel.
5. Connect a reception exhaust pipe to a final collector.
6. Lower the car.
7. Fill in engine oil.
8. Connect a wire to the negative plug of the rechargeable battery.

Seth Chaty filter of the oil pump and reception branch pipe

Removal
1. Remove the oil pallet.
2. Turn out bolts of fastening of a reception branch pipe.
3. Remove a reception branch pipe and a sealing ring.

Installation
1. Install a new sealing ring in the oil pump.
2. Establish a reception branch pipe to the oil pump and fix by bolts, having tightened their moment 8 N • m.
3. Screw bolts of fastening of a reception branch pipe to the block of cylinders and tighten their moment 6 N • m.
4. Install the oil pallet.

Oil pump

Removal
1. Remove a pulley of a bent shaft.
2. Remove a back casing of a gear belt.
3. Disconnect a wire from the oil pressure sensor.
4. Remove the oil pallet.
5. Remove an oil filter.
6. Remove a maslopriyemny branch pipe and the oil pump.
7. The screw-driver get a forward epiploon.

Installation
1. Install the pump with new laying and fix by bolts, having tightened their moment 44 N • m.
2. Establish a maslopriyemny branch pipe, fastening and a new sealing ring.
3. Oil pallet.
4. By means of KM-191 adaptation establish a new forward epiploon of a bent shaft.
5. Establish a new oil filter.
6. Connect a wire to the oil pressure sensor.
7. Establish a back casing of a gear belt.
8. Establish a pulley of a bent shaft.

Repair of the oil pump

Dismantling
1. Merge oil from the pump.
2. Remove a maslopriyemny branch pipe and the mesh filter.
3. Uncover the oil pump.
4. Remove a gear wheel of the oil pump.
5. Turn out a stopper and remove a spring and the valve of the reducing valve regulating pressure.
If the valve is not unscrewed, lower the pump for an otmokaniye in solvent for cleaning of the carburetor.

       PREVENTION
The spring of the regulator of pressure is under pressure. In order to avoid injuries unscrew a stopper, being careful.

Check
Check availability of foreign materials and a source of their origin.
Clear all details of a deposit, oil and a deposit.
The deposit can be removed by a detail soaking in solvent for cleaning of the carburetor.

       PREVENTION
In order to avoid injuries during the work with solvent avoid inhalation of its vapors or hit of its drops on skin.

Check a pump housing for existence:
– cracks;
– zadir;
– casting marriage;
– damages of a carving.
Check the reducing valve of pressure of oil upon existence:
– zadir;
– jammings (agnails can be removed by means of a fine-grained emery stone).
Check a spring of the sensor of pressure upon existence:
– elasticity losses;
– curvature.
Check knot of a maslopriyemny branch pipe and the mesh filter for existence:
– the torn delays or cells in the filter.
Check gear wheels for existence:
– chips;
– jammings;
– wear.
Measure a gap between teeths of gear wheels and between a gear wheel and the case.
Measure a gap between an end face of gear wheels and the plane of a cover.
Measure the outer and internal diameter of gear wheels.
Measure diameter and depth of boring under gear wheels.

       PREVENTION
Making the decision on whether the pump is subject to repair, pay attention to development depth from wear in the case or in a pump cover.

Assembly
At assembly oil all details engine. Gear wheels have to be directed by a tag towards a casing of a gear belt.

       PREVENTION
For prevention of damage of the engine before installation of gear wheels all cavities of the pump have to be filled with engine oil.

1. Establish a cover with laying and fix by bolts, having tightened their moment 9 N • m.

       PREVENTION
For prevention of damage of the engine use the laying which is only specially made for it. Thickness of laying is the important factor ensuring the correct functioning of the oil pump.

2. Install the reducing valve of pressure of oil and a spring.
3. Screw a stopper of the reducing valve and tighten its moment 30 N • m.

       PREVENTION
Apply the kontryashchy structure interfering its self-unscrewing (the blocking Loctite liquid) on a stopper carving.

       PREVENTION
Every time at repair of the oil pump it is necessary to clear the oil pallet of oil and rainfall, replace an oil filter and to fill in fresh oil in the oil pallet.

Check
Turn out the sensor of pressure of oil and screw instead of it the manometer.
Launch the engine and control oil pressure.

       PREVENTION
If oil pressure did not increase at once, remove the oil pallet and check fastening of a reception branch pipe to the oil pump. If necessary remove the pump, fill all cavities of the pump with oil and again install the pump. Operation of the engine with very low pressure of oil leads to its serious breakage.

Pistons and rods

Removal
1. Remove the oil pallet, a grid of rough purification of oil, a reception branch pipe of the pump and a head of cylinders.
2. Move the piston to extreme top situation. Clear a cylinder cavity.
3. Turn off bolts of fastening of covers of rods and remove them and inserts of conrod bearings (mark details for the subsequent assembly).
4. Remove a rod and the piston (you watch to injuring a neck of a bent shaft). Clear cylinders oil and pure rags.

Installation
1. Install pistons and rods.

       PREVENTION
Before assembly oil all details engine. Install by easy percussion pistons in the cylinder by means of the special plug.
Numbers tags on covers and rods have to be directed towards the water pump. The arrow has to be directed to the bottom of the piston towards a forward part of the engine.
The surfaces of bearings, necks and covers need to be greased.
It is necessary to use new bolts of fastening of rods, use of old bolts is not allowed.

2. Establish covers of rods and fix by new bolts and tighten their moment 35 N • m then tighten on a corner 40 ° –45 °.
3. Establish a reception branch pipe of the oil pump, a grid of rough purification of oil, the oil pallet and a head of cylinders.

Pistons, piston rings and rods

Removal
1. Note pistons serial number of the cylinder from which they are taken out.
2. Note a rod and a cover of a rod for the correct subsequent assembly.
3. Turn a bent shaft in the lower dead point. Clear a deposit from the top part of the cylinder.

       PREVENTION
If in the top point of a piston stroke there is a step, it before extraction of the piston assembled with a rod needs to be removed by means of the corresponding tool. Do not apply at extraction of the piston of great efforts. Avoid breakage of piston rings and damage of the piston.

4. Turn off bolts of fastening of covers of rods and remove them and inserts of conrod bearings (mark details for the subsequent assembly).
5. Remove the piston assembled with a rod. For pushing out use the corresponding adaptation.

Removal of a piston finger and piston rings
1. Remove the piston and a rod.

       PREVENTION
During the work with the piston handle with it with care. Worn-out piston rings have keen edges and can lead to a trauma.

2. Remove piston rings. Use the corresponding device for removal of rings. Reuse of piston rings is not allowed.
3. Place piston knot assembled with a rod in KM-192 adaptation and a vypressuyta a piston finger. Clear the piston, a piston finger and a rod.

       PREVENTION
Avoid steam inhalation and hit on solvent skin for cleaning of the carburetor. It can lead to injuries. Do not scrape a piston skirt.

Check of a rod
1. Check a rod for existence of a bend or twisting. The used bolts attach a rod cover, tighten their moment 52 N • m. Place rod knot in the device for check of perpendicularity of axes and check for lack of bends and twisting.
2. Do not try to straighten a rod. The bent or overwound rod needs to be replaced. Before use of new rods they need also to be checked.
3. Check the external surfaces of bearings of a rod and an internal surface of a cover of a rod for wear existence.
4. Check a rod head for existence of jags. Check a piston finger for existence of jags, wear because of the wrong installation and landing in the piston and a rod. Check the piston for existence of jags, cracks, damages of landing surfaces of flutes for rings and wear.

Check and selection of pistons

       PREVENTION
When checking pistons it is necessary to take a condition of surfaces both the piston, and cylinder into account. Working and repair cylinders have identical nominal weight and can be shared without violation of balancing of the engine. If necessary the pistons which were in operation can be adjusted in any cylinder of the engine provided that they in good shape.
Do not grind pistons which do not approach by the size since it will lead to violation of balancing of the engine.

Measure diameter of the piston. If it is worn-out or has damages, replace it with the piston of the standard or increased size.
Measure diameter of the cylinder. If wear exceeds maximum permissible values, chisel also to their otkhoninguyta to the required size.
1. Check a gap between the piston and the cylinder as follows:
– measure the internal diameter of the cylinder;
– measure diameter of the piston;
– for definition of a gap subtract diameter of the piston from diameter of the cylinder;
– compare the received gap with specified in specifications of the engine.
2. If use of the old piston is not possible, then check the sizes of repair pistons to choose the new piston.
3. If it is necessary to restore the internal surface of the cylinder, choose the corresponding size of the piston and an otkhoninguyta the cylinder before receiving the required gap.
4. Choose the new piston and note it number of the cylinder for which it was chosen.

Cleaning
Clear the surfaces of the cylinder and the piston soap solution, remove everything foreign materials, then dry up them and wipe with pure engine oil.

Assembly of a rod and piston
Attention
The piston needs to be installed on a rod so that the tags on the piston and a rod indicating a forward part of the engine were on the one hand.
1. Install knot of the piston and a rod in KM-192 adaptation.
2. Level adaptation pusher before combination with an opening in the piston.
3. Oil a piston finger pure engine.
4. Press a finger into place. Check freedom of movement of the piston on a finger.

Measurement of gaps of piston rings
1. Choose the required set of piston rings.

2. Measure a gap in the lock of a piston ring as follows (fig. 3.22):
– install the piston in the cylinder on the lower mark of the course of a ring in the cylinder;
– install a ring from above on the piston;
– carefully lower the piston;
– measure a gap in the lock of a piston ring. If the gap is less specified in specifications, accurately cut the ends, removing excess of metal.
3. Measure a gap between a flute and a piston ring (for compression rings) as follows:

– give a ride to a ring on a flute in which it has to be established, and measure a gap as it is shown in fig. 3.23. If a ring too thick, check other ring. If the suitable ring does not manage to be picked up, the ring can be ground on height by means of the velvet emery paper placed on glass.

       PREVENTION
Do not try to chisel a flute though the podpilivaniye of ledges of a flute is allowed by a thin file.

Installation of piston rings
1. Install on the piston an oil scraper ring in the following order:
– sealing ring;
– lower oil scraper ring;
– top oil scraper ring.
2. Install the top and lower compression rings on the piston.

       PREVENTION
For installation of rings use a special dilator. Avoid excessive extension of rings as it can lead to their failure.

       PREVENTION

For providing an effective compression locks of piston rings have to be displaced relatively each other (fig. 3.24).

Flywheel of the engine and/or back epiploon of a bent shaft
       PREVENTION
Reuse of bolts of fastening of a flywheel is not allowed. After a reversing bolts need to be replaced new.

       PREVENTION
The back epiploon of a bent shaft is executed in the form of independent knot and can be replaced without removal of the oil pallet or a bent shaft.

Removal
1. Remove the transmission.
2. Turn out bolts and remove a flywheel.
3. Uncover a case of coupling and a clutch plate if the car is equipped with the mechanical transmission.
4. The screw-driver as the lever, get a back epiploon of a bent shaft. Clear the surfaces of the block of cylinders and a bent shaft contacting to an epiploon.

Installation
1. Install a back epiploon of a bent shaft on the block of cylinders and evenly press it by means of KM-191 adaptation. For simplification of assembly oil external surfaces of an epiploon engine.
2. On cars with the mechanical transmission establish a flywheel and fix by bolts, having tightened their moment 75 N • m.

       PREVENTION
Use new bolts.

3. On cars with the automatic transmission establish a plate of the drive and fix by bolts, having tightened their moment 70 N • m. Bolts are allowed to be reused.
4. On cars with the mechanical transmission establish a cover of a case of coupling and a clutch plate if the car has the non-automatic transmission.
5. Install the transmission.

Removal and installation of the engine

Removal
Take off pressure in the fuel pipeline.
1. Disconnect wires from plugs of the rechargeable battery and the wire connecting the engine to a body.
2. Merge cooling liquid.
3. Remove the air filter.
4. Disconnect hoses from a radiator.
5. Disconnect wires:
– from a guard (a plait to the engine);
– from the main brake cylinder;
– from conditioner sensors;
– from the screen wiper engine;
– from the relay of the fan and a wire of "weight";
– from the block of electronic control also extend a plait through a guard;
– from temperature sensor on the thermostat.
6. Disconnect air hoses:
– from the fuel injection device;
– from the air consumption measuring instrument.
7. Disconnect cables:
– a butterfly valve from an arm and the device of injection of fuel;
– gear shiftings from the transmission.
8. Disconnect hoses of the amplifier of steering:
– from the switch sensor;
– from the pump.
9. Lift the car on the elevator.
10. Disconnect a reception exhaust pipe from a final collector and the holder. Shift a pipe aside.
11. Disconnect hoses:
– from a heater radiator;
– from fuel pipelines;
– from the heat exchanger (for cars with the automatic transmission).
12. Remove forward wheels.
13. Turn off bolts of fastening of supports and fix by a soft wire supports on a rack of a forward suspension bracket.
14. Disconnect wires from the conditioner compressor.
15. Discharge the air conditioning system.
16. Disconnect lines of a cooler from the compressor.
17. Fastening of a suspension bracket: turn out two central bolts from each party. Vyverntite on one extreme bolt also weaken fastening of the remained bolt.

       PREVENTION
At implementation of further operations be convinced that the car is reliably fixed, and the engine and transmission are reliably supported.

18. Remove a side strut of the transmission (only for cars with the automatic transmission).
19. Remove a forward cross-piece of the transmission.
20. Establish supports under a forward part of the car in places of support of a radiator.
21. Move a jack under a back part of a motor compartment.
22. Raise the car and remove supports.
23. Fix the engine and the transmission by slings of device for removal of the engine.
24. Lower a few car that the weight of the engine was partially supported by slings.
25. Turn out the remained bolts of fastening of a forward suspension bracket.
26. Turn out 1 long bolt of fastening of a pillow of transmission of a forward engine mount to an arm.
27. Turn out 2 bolts of fastening of a pillow of a forward engine mount to an arm.
28. Turn out 2 bolts of fastening of a pillow of a back engine mount to an arm.
29. Turn out 2 bolts from each party of fastening of rotary fists to a cross-piece.

       PREVENTION
For preservation of balancing of a motor compartment accurately note an arrangement of a cross-piece and rotary fists.

30. Lift the car, having left the engine, the transmission and a suspension bracket to hang on slings.
31. Disconnect the engine from the transmission.

Installation
1. By means of one more person collect the engine and install on the chassis.
2. Screw 1 long bolt of fastening of a pillow of transmission of a forward engine mount to an arm and tighten them the required inhaling moment.
3. Screw 2 bolts of fastening of a pillow of a back engine mount to an arm and tighten them the required inhaling moment.
4. Screw 2 bolts of fastening of a pillow of a forward engine mount to an arm and tighten them the required inhaling moment.
5. Screw, without tightening, extreme bolts of fastening of a suspension bracket on both sides of the engine.
6. Fix rotary fists to a cross-piece, previously having combined the marks made when dismantling, and fix them by bolts the required moment.
7. Lift the car and remove slings. Using domkratny supports, move an elevator paw forward.
8. Screw the remained bolts of a forward engine mount on the right and at the left and tighten their moment 88 N • m.
9. Establish forward and back cross-pieces of the transmission and fix them by bolts, having tightened them the required inhaling moment.
10. Connect wires to the conditioner compressor.
11. Establish supports of forward brakes.
12. Establish forward wheels.
13. Connect hoses:
– to the line of cooling (in the presence of an automatic box);
– to the fuel pipeline;
– to a heater radiator.
14. Connect a reception exhaust pipe to a final collector.
15. Lower the car.
16. Connect hoses of the amplifier of steering:
– to the pump;
– to the switch sensor.
17. Connect cables:
– gear shiftings to the transmission;
– a butterfly valve from an arm and the device of injection of fuel.
18. Air hoses:
– to the air consumption measuring instrument;
– to system of injection of fuel.
19. Connect wires:
– to temperature sensor in the thermostat case;
– to the block of electronic control, at the same time stretch a plait through a guard;
– to the conditioner sensor;
– to the windshield screen wiper engine;
– to the relay and the case of the fan;
– to the main brake cylinder;
– to a guard (an engine plait).
20. Connect radiator hoses.
21. Fill in cooling liquid.
22. Connect lines of circulation of a cooler of the conditioner.
23. Load system of the conditioner with a cooler.
24. Connect wires to plugs of the rechargeable battery and the wire connecting the engine and a body of the car.

Bent shaft

Removal
1. Remove the engine.
2. Merge engine oil.
3. Install the engine on a convenient support.
4. Turn out spark plugs.
5. Remove a pulley and a nave of a bent shaft.
6. Remove a casing of a gear belt.
7. Weaken fastening of the water pump and take off a gear belt.
8. Remove a flywheel.
9. Remove the oil pallet.
10. Remove a pulley of a bent shaft.
11. Remove the oil pump.
12. Uncover rods and bearings, at the same time note details for the subsequent assembly.
13. Push out pistons with rods from cylinders.
14. Uncover radical bearings with inserts of bearings. Note details for the subsequent assembly.
15. Remove a bent shaft.

Installation
1. Install a bent shaft with new top inserts of radical bearings in the block of cylinders.
2. Establish covers of radical bearings with new lower inserts of radical bearings. Do not tighten bolts of fastening of covers. Before assembly oil details engine.

       PREVENTION
For fastening of covers of radical bearings use only new bolts.

3. Fill internal flutes of a cover of the back radical bearing with the condensing lubricant from set for consolidation of bearings (fig. 3.25).
4. Establish rods with new top inserts of conrod bearings into place.
5. Establish covers of rods with new inserts of conrod bearings, but do not tighten bolts. Before assembly oil all details engine.
6. For installation of the persistent bearing strike with a rubber kiyanka at first the forward end of a bent shaft, then the back end.
7. Tighten bolts of fastening of covers of radical bearings the moment of 95 N • m. Check an axial side play of a bent shaft which has to be in limits of 0,07-0,3 mm.
8. Tighten bolts of fastening of covers of rods the moment of 52 N • m. Use new bolts.

9. Measure side gaps in all rods. They have to be within 0,07 - 0,242 mm (fig. 3.26).
10. Install the oil pump.
11. By means of KM-191 adaptation establish a new forward epiploon.
12. Establish a pulley of a bent shaft, having tightened bolts the moment of 155 N • m.
13. Install the oil pallet.
14. By means of KM-191 adaptation establish a new back epiploon.
15. Establish a flywheel.
16. Establish a gear belt.
17. Establish a casing of a gear belt.
18. Establish a nave and a pulley of a bent shaft.
19. Screw spark plugs.
20. Install the engine on the car.
21. Fill in oil in the engine,

Repair of a carving

The damaged carving can be restored by drilling, repeated cutting of a new carving and screwing up of the carving plug.

       PREVENTION
In order to avoid traumatizing eyes use goggles.

1. Determine the size, a step and depth of the damaged carving. If necessary install limiters on the tool for drilling and for cutting of a carving on the required depth.

       PREVENTION
Instructions for the choice of diameter of a drill and tap are provided in the guide to set to repair of a carving.

2. Drill the damaged carving and clear an opening of shaving.
3. Cut a carving in an opening, at the same time oil a tap liquid engine. Remove shaving.

       PREVENTION
Avoid accumulation of shaving in an opening. Through each several turns of a tap, take it for cleaning of an opening of shaving.

4. Screw the carving plug on a mandrel of device for installation of the plug. Fix a plug uvula in a mandrel.
5. If material in which the plug is screwed up is not aluminum, oil the plug liquid engine and screw up in an opening.

       PREVENTION
At the correct installation the plug should not reach a surface on one string of a carving.

6. If the uvula of the plug is not broken off at adaptation vyvinchivaniye, use a drift and break off a uvula.
