 Wheel bearing

Removal
1. Remove a depreciation rack of a forward suspension bracket.

2. Turn out the lock screw from a nave of a wheel and remove a brake disk (fig. 10.8).

3. By means of KM-500-5 adaptation to a vypressuyta a nave of a forward wheel from the bearing (fig. 10.9). For removal of the plug enclose two flat or square iron whetstones under a rotary fist. At a vypressovka the wheel bearing will be destroyed. One half of an internal ring of the bearing will remain on a wheel nave.
4. Turn out screws of fastening of a brake board to a rotary fist.

5. Remove from a rotary fist both lock rings And yes In (fig. 10.10).

6. By means of KM-500-4 and KM-500-5 devices to a vypressuyta from a rotary fist the wheel bearing (fig. 10.11). For performance of this operation bring KM-500-2 adaptation under a rotary fist.

7. By means of KM-500-1-A adaptation take an internal ring of the bearing from a nave of a forward wheel (fig. 10.12).

Installation
The removed bearing should not be reused.
1. Establish an external lock ring in a rotary fist. The lock ring has to sit densely in a flute and its section has to be directed down (adjusting situation).

2. By means of KM-500-4 and KM-500-5 devices carefully press in a rotary fist a new nave of a wheel until it does not adjoin to a lock ring (fig. 10.13).
3. Establish an internal lock ring in a rotary fist. The lock ring has to sit densely in a flute and its section has to be directed down (adjusting situation).
4. Fix a brake board on a rotary fist, observing the required inhaling moment.

5. By means of KM-500-5 adaptation press a nave of a forward wheel in the bearing (fig. 10.14). For this purpose bring KM-500-3 adaptation under an internal ring of the wheel bearing.
6. Fix a brake disk on a wheel nave by the lock screw, observing the required inhaling moment.
7. Establish a depreciation rack of a forward suspension bracket.

Rotary fist

Removal
1. Lift the car and remove a forward wheel.
2. Turn out bolts of fastening of a support of a brake to a rotary fist and fix by a soft wire a support on a rack.
3. Turn out a koronchaty nut of fastening of a power shaft to a nave.
4. At a nut otvorachivaniye by means of the suitable holder from the opposite side hold a power shaft from a provorachivaniye.
5. By means of a stripper of KM-507-B to a vypressuyta from a rack a pin of the spherical hinge of steering draft.
6. By means of a stripper of KM-507-B to a vypressuyta from a rotary fist a pin of the spherical hinge.
7. By means of the device for removal of naves to a vypressuyta a power shaft from a nave of a forward wheel.
8. Turn out screws and remove a depreciation rack from under a wing arch.
9. Fix a rack of a forward suspension bracket in the KM-465-A\KM-329-A device for compression of a spring.
10. Squeeze a spring so that it departed from the top part of a rack. When using special device for compression of springs rounds of a spring need to be taken reliably, to squeeze a spring from the opposite sides.
11. Turn out screws of fastening of the persistent ball bearing to a shock-absorber piston rod.
12. By means of KM-563 adaptation turn out a round nut of fastening of the shock-absorber.
13. Remove a spring nest.
14. Remove a spring with the device for compression of a spring and place in the safe place.
15. Turn out the screw of fastening of a brake disk to a nave of a wheel and remove a brake disk.
16. By means of KM-500-5 adaptation to a vypressuyta a nave of a forward wheel from the bearing. For removal of the plug enclose two flat or square iron whetstones under a rotary fist.
17. At a vypressovka the wheel bearing will be destroyed. One half of an internal ring of the bearing will remain on a wheel nave.
18. Turn out screws of fastening of a brake board to a rotary fist.
19. By means of KM-500-1-A adaptation take an internal ring of the bearing from a nave of a forward wheel.
20. Replace a rotary fist.

       PREVENTION
The rotary fist is delivered only assembled with the supporting tube. The knot does not understand.

Installation
1. Establish an external lock ring in a rotary fist. The lock ring has to sit densely in a flute and its section has to be directed down (adjusting situation).
2. By means of KM-500-4 and KM-500-5 devices carefully press in a rotary fist a new nave of a wheel until it does not adjoin to a lock ring
3. Establish an internal lock ring in a rotary fist. The lock ring has to sit densely in a flute and its section has to be directed down (adjusting situation).
4. Fix a brake board on a rotary fist, observing the required inhaling moment.
5. Install on a rotary fist KM-329-A adaptation with the compressed spring.
6. Install the shock-absorber. By means of KM-563 adaptation tighten a round nut of fastening of the shock-absorber.
7. Insert a power shaft into vents of a nave of a forward wheel. Freely tighten a koronchaty nut (with a washer) fastenings of a power shaft to a nave.

       NOTE
Use a new nut and a new washer.

8. Fix the spherical hinge on a rotary fist by a koronchaty nut, observing the required inhaling moment.

       PREVENTION
In the bearing of a forward wheel there should not be a side play.

9. For connection of a power shaft with a nave of a wheel execute the following operations:
– by means of a koronchaty nut with a washer bring a power shaft to a nave and tighten a koronchaty nut the moment of 100 N • m (nests of hinges on bolts);
– as a counterbalance connect KM-468 adaptation to a nave;
– weaken a koronchaty nut and tighten the moment 20 N • m (a preliminary tension);
– tighten a koronchaty nut on a corner 90 °;
– if the forelock and a cut do not coincide, weaken (do not tighten) a koronchaty nut to the next cut and its zashplintuyta.
10. Fix a brake support on a rotary fist, observing the required inhaling moment.
11. Tighten bolts of fastening of a wheel, observing the required inhaling moment.

Nave of a forward wheel
See. "Wheel bearing".

       PREVENTION
Always the new bearing is installed. For this reason when replacing a nave of a forward wheel it is not required to delete an internal ring of the bearing from an old nave of a wheel.

Power shaft

       PREVENTION
If the car passed already considerable distance (80 000–100 000 km), then the left or right power shafts if to look in the direction of the movement of the car, have to be replaced assembled as uniform knot.

The right power shaft is about 34 mm longer than the left power shaft.
It is not required to remove a power shaft with the removed collar.
Remove a small clip, ventilate a protective cover and fix it by a new collar.

Removal
1. Lift the car and remove a forward wheel.

2. Remove the forelock and turn out a koronchaty nut of fastening of a power shaft to a nave (fig. 10.15). Two bolts attach adaptation holding a nave from a provorachivaniye to a wheel nave.
3. The support of a brake remains established.

4. By means of a stripper of KM-507-B to a vypressuyta from a rotary fist a pin of the spherical hinge of the lower lever (fig. 10.16).

5. By means of KM-460-2-A adaptation (left side) or KM-460-1 (right side) to a vypressuyta a power shaft from a transmission case (fig. 10.17).

       PREVENTION
The slanted party of the tool always has to look towards the transmission.
For an exception of an effluence of oil and hit of dirt immediately insert a cap into a transmission opening for a power shaft.

6. Touch a power shaft from a nave of a forward wheel. If it does not work well, use the device for removal of naves No. 38-A (fig. 10.18).

       PREVENTION
After removal of a power shaft the wheel bearing should not be exposed to any loading, the car cannot be moved as it will break an adjusting position of the demountable bearing. If movement of the car is inevitable, insert replacement of a power shaft into a nave and tighten a koronchaty nut, at the same time the wheel bearing has to be tightened.

1. The Privarochny flange of the external hinge of equal angular speeds of a power shaft and a privalochny surface on the ball hug bearing of a forward wheel have to be absolutely pure (fig. 10.19).

2. Establish a power shaft in vents of a nave of a forward wheel. Freely tighten a koronchaty nut (with a washer) fastenings of a power shaft to a nave. Grease nave vents with transmission liquid (fig. 10.20).

       NOTE
Use a new nut and a new washer.

3. At first press a power shaft in the transmission, at the same time place a lock ring in a connecting flute. Then the screw-driver insert a ring into place.

       PREVENTION
Install the screw-driver on the roller of a frictional seam (not on a metal surface).

4. After installation of a ring into place check density of landing of a power shaft, having pulled a hand for the case of the external hinge.
5. Fix the spherical hinge on a rotary fist by a koronchaty nut and for an insurance a lock clip, observing the required inhaling moment. Use a new lock clip.

       PREVENTION
In the bearing of a forward wheel there should not be a side play.

6. For connection of a power shaft with a nave of a wheel execute the following operations:
– by means of a koronchaty nut with a washer bring a power shaft to a nave and tighten a koronchaty nut the moment of 100 N • m (nests of hinges on bolts);
– as a counterbalance connect KM-468 adaptation to a nave;
– weaken a koronchaty nut and tighten the moment 20 N • m (a preliminary tension);
– tighten a koronchaty nut on a corner 90 °;

7. Tighten bolts of fastening of a wheel, observing the required inhaling moment.
8. Check the level of transmission liquid and add if it is required. Level of liquid has to reach bottom edge of a control opening.

Hinge of equal angular speeds of a power shaft

Removal
1. Remove a power shaft.
2. Remove a protective cover from the hinge of equal angular speeds (HEAS) and turn. Before it remove the fixing collars.

3. By means of passatizhy remove a lock ring of fastening of the internal or external CV JOINT (fig. 10.21, 10.22).
4. Tapping with the plastic hammer, remove the CV JOINT from shliyets of a power shaft.

Installation
1. Fill emptiness in the CV JOINT with special lubricant.

       PREVENTION
The hinge of equal angular speeds is replaced only assembled.

2. The lock ring has to sit strongly in the flute.
3. Install by percussion of the plastic hammer the CV JOINT on vents of a power shaft until he sits down on the place.

The internal CV JOINT needs to be installed on the long side of a shaft for fastening of a protective cover (length And – about 135 mm), the external hinge – on the short party of a shaft (fig. 10.23).

4. Establish a protective cover and fix it by a new collar, having tightened it the special clamping passatizha (fig. 10.24).
5. Establish a power shaft.

Protective cover of the CV JOINT

Removal
1. Remove a power shaft.
2. Remove a protective cover from the hinge of equal angular speeds (CV JOINT) and turn. Before it remove the fixing collars.
3. By means of passatizhy get a lock ring of fastening of the CV JOINT from a flute in a shlitsevy part of a power shaft.
4. Remove the corresponding lock ring and a protective cover from a power shaft.

Installation
1. Carefully clean off old lubricant from the hinge and fill free space in the hinge with special lubricant.
2. Establish an internal or external ring in vents of a power shaft and fix by a lock ring.
3. Establish a new protective cover on a power shaft.
4. Fix a protective cover by new collars, having tightened them the special clamping passatizha.
5. Establish a power shaft.

       PREVENTION
When replacing both protective covers it is necessary to remove only one, any, internal or external CV JOINT from shliyets of a shaft.

Depreciation rack

Removal
1. Lift the car and remove a forward wheel.

2. Take off a protective cap (fig. 10.25).
3. Turn out bolts of fastening of a support of a brake to a rotary fist and fix by a soft wire a support on a rack.
4. Two bolts attach adaptation holding a nave from a provorachivaniye to a wheel nave.

5. Remove the forelock and turn out a koronchaty nut of fastening of a power shaft to a nave (fig. 10.26).

8. Touch a power shaft from a nave of a forward wheel. If it does not work well, use the device for removal of naves No. 38-A (fig. 10.28).
9. Fix by a soft wire a power shaft on a body.

       PREVENTION
After removal of a power shaft the wheel bearing should not be exposed to any loading, the car cannot be moved as it will break an adjusting position of the demountable bearing. If movement of the car is inevitable, insert replacement of a power shaft into a nave and tighten a koronchaty nut, at the same time the wheel bearing has to be tightened.

11. Fix a rack of a forward suspension bracket in the KM-465-A/KM-329-A device for compression of a spring, at the same time the blue tag on a hook has to coincide with a yellow tag on adaptation frame (fig. 10.29).

12. Squeeze a spring so that it departed from the top part of a rack (fig. 10.30).
13. When using special device for compression of springs rounds of a spring need to be taken reliably, to squeeze a spring from the opposite sides.

14. Holding for a shock-absorber piston rod, by means of a cap wrench on 19 mm unscrew the persistent bearing (with the ball bearing) (fig. 10.31).
15. Take from a shock-absorber piston rod knot of the persistent bearing together with the ball bearing.
16. Grease the ball bearing with lubricant for bearings. The persistent bearing is delivered only assembled with the ball bearing. The knot does not understand.

17. With effort establish knot of the persistent bearing on a shock-absorber piston rod, at the same time place a metal washer And (fig. 10.32) under the ball bearing so that its raised edge was from above (consolidation of the ball bearing) and a persistent washer In atop bearing.

18. The ledge on a plastic support of a spring serves as the indicator at installation: if to look in the direction of the movement of the car, the ledge has to be directed forward on the left rack, and on the right rack – the ledge has to be directed back (fig. 10.33).
19. Tighten a nut of fastening of the persistent bearing, at the same time on the other hand support a piston rod. Use new самоконтрящуюся a nut.
20. Remove devices for compression of a spring.
21. Install a rack on the car and fix new самоконтрящейся by a nut.
22. Insert a power shaft into vents of a nave of a forward wheel. Freely tighten a koronchaty nut (with a washer) fastenings of a power shaft to a nave. Grease nave vents with transmission liquid. Always use a new nut and a washer.
23. Fix the spherical hinge on a rotary fist by a koronchaty nut and for an insurance a lock clip, observing the required inhaling moment. Use a new lock clip.
24. Fix a pin of the spherical hinge of a tip of steering draft on a rotary fist by a koronchaty nut and for an insurance a lock clip, observing the required inhaling moment. Use new самоконтрящуюся a nut.

       PREVENTION
In the bearing of a forward wheel there should not be a side play.

25. For connection of a power shaft with a nave of a wheel execute the following operations:
– by means of a koronchaty nut with a washer bring a power shaft to a nave and tighten a koronchaty nut the moment of 100 N • m (nests of hinges on bolts);
– as a counterbalance connect KM-468 adaptation to a nave;
– weaken a koronchaty nut and tighten the moment 20 N • m (a preliminary tension);
– tighten a koronchaty nut on a corner 90 °;

26. Connect a support of a brake to a rotary fist and fix by bolts, having tightened them the required moment. Before a vvorachivaniye apply the blocking structure preventing their otvorachivaniye on a carving of bolts.

27. By means of KM-404-A-1 and KM-404-A-3 devices establish against the stop new protective caps on a brake support (fig. 10.34).
28. Tighten bolts of fastening of a wheel, observing the required inhaling moment.

Spring of a forward rack

Removal
1. Remove a depreciation rack.
2. Fix a rack of a forward suspension bracket in the KM-465-A/KM-329-A device for compression of a spring. Squeeze a spring so that it departed from the top part of a rack. When using special device for compression of springs rounds of a spring need to be taken reliably, to squeeze a spring from the opposite sides.
3. Turn out screws of fastening of the persistent ball bearing to a shock-absorber piston rod.
4. By means of KM-563 adaptation turn out a round nut of fastening of the shock-absorber.
5. Remove a spring nest.
6. Remove a spring with the device for compression of a spring and place in the safe place.

1. Establish a new spring on a rack and squeeze it KM-465-A/KM-329-A devices. The ends of a spring rest on the lower support of a spring. The left and right forward springs are identical. The ledge on a plastic support of a forward spring serves as the indicator at installation: if to look in the direction of the movement of the car, this ledge looks forward on a spring rack for the left side of the car. On a rack for the right side of the car the ledge looks back. The ledge on a plastic support of a spring serves as the indicator at installation: if to look in the direction of the movement of the car, the ledge has to be directed forward on the left rack, and on the right rack the ledge has to be directed back (fig. 10.35).
2. Install the persistent bearing.

Shock-absorber

Removal
1. Remove the persistent bearing.
2. Remove from a rack a spring washer with the damping ring, and also the buffer with a synthetic corrugated protective cover from a piston rod.
3. By means of KM-563 adaptation turn out a round nut of fastening of the shock-absorber.

       PREVENTION
Moment of an inhaling of a round nut very big.

4. Replace the shock-absorber.

5. By means of KM-563 adaptation screw a round nut of fastening of the shock-absorber (fig. 10.36).

       PREVENTION
It is necessary to observe the recommended moment of an inhaling and to hold a wrench at an angle 90 ° to KM-563 adaptation.

       NOTE
Use a new round nut of fastening of the shock-absorber. The round nut is covered with wax which cannot be deleted as it serves as lubricant and protects from corrosion.

6. Install the lock buffer on a rod of the piston and a spring support with the damping ring on a spring. The ledge on a plastic support of a spring serves as the indicator at installation: if to look in the direction of the movement of the car, the ledge has to be directed forward on the left rack, and on the right rack the ledge has to be directed back (see fig. 10.35).
7. Install the persistent bearing.

Lower lever of a forward suspension bracket

Removal
1. Lift the car and remove a forward wheel.

2. Turn out bolts of fastening of the stabilizer to the lower lever of a forward suspension bracket (fig. 10.37).

3. By means of a stripper of KM-507-B to a vypressuyta from a rotary fist a pin of the spherical hinge of the lower lever of a forward suspension bracket (fig. 10.38).

4. Turn out bolts of fastening of the lower lever of a forward suspension bracket to the body basis in front and behind (fig. 10.39).
Installation
1. Attach a control lever to the body basis.

       PREVENTION
Lift the lower lever of a forward suspension bracket until it does not reach almost horizontal position (the damping plugs will be free from twisting).

2. Establish bolts of fastening of a forward support from the forward party of the car. Use new самоконтрящиеся nuts.
3. For fastening of a back support apply sealant on a carving of two bolts. The distance between openings is equal in a cover of a support to 87 mm. The cover has to lean on a shoulder of the damping plug. The flat party the back damping plug has to lean on a floor covering.
4. Fix the spherical hinge on a rotary fist by a koronchaty nut and the forelock, observing the required inhaling moment.

5. Connect the stabilizer to the lower lever, at the same time keep the size of preliminary loading And (fig. 10.40). If it is required, replace the rubber buffer. The cuff of the corresponding rubber buffer is in an eye of the stabilizer or on a control lever. Use new самоконтрящиеся nuts.
6. Tighten bolts of fastening of a wheel.

The damping plugs of the lower lever of a forward suspension bracket

Removal
1. Remove the lower lever of a forward suspension bracket.

2. Using a suitable drift, beat out the back damping plug (fig. 10.41).

3. By means of KM-158-5 and KM-508-1 devices squeeze out the forward damping plug in the direction in front back (fig. 10.42).
Installation

1. Press the new back damping plug. For this operation enclose under it KM-508-1 adaptation (fig. 10.43). Apply soap solution on a lever finger. The plug has to be directed by the flat party to the lower lever of a forward suspension bracket.

2. By means of KM-508-1, KM-508-3 and KM-508-4 devices press the new forward damping plug in the direction in front back (fig. 10.44). After installation the rubber fillet of the plug has to act evenly on both sides.

Spherical hinge of the lower lever

Removal
1. Remove the lower lever of a forward suspension bracket.

2. A drill with a diameter of 12 mm ream heads of three rivets fixing the spherical hinge to the lower lever of a forward suspension bracket (fig. 10.45).
3. Establish a drill at a rivet head from the point which is beaten out by a core.

       PREVENTION
The new model of the spherical hinge delivered as the spare part fastens on the lever bolts, but not by means of rivets.

Installation

1. Fix the new spherical hinge to the lower lever of a forward suspension bracket by means of bolts and самоконтрящихся nuts, at the same time observe the recommended inhaling moment (fig. 10.46).
2. Install the lower lever of a forward suspension bracket.

       PREVENTION
Establish nuts from the lower party of the lever. The rotary hinge is not served. It is delivered by knot assembled and cannot be sorted.

Stabilizer of cross stability

Removal
1. Lift the car.

2. Turn out bolts and disconnect the stabilizer from both levers (fig. 10.47).
3. On the right and at the left turn out bolts of fastening of the stabilizer to the panel.
4. Turn forward wheels and remove the stabilizer from under a wheel arch.

Installation
1. Install the stabilizer so that it reached the central position in relation to the panel. Observe the recommended inhaling moment.
If necessary replace a rubber support, previously having dipped it into silicone lubricant.
2. Connect the stabilizer to the lower lever, at the same time keep the size of preliminary loading And (see fig. 10.40). If it is required, replace the rubber buffer. The cuff of the corresponding rubber buffer is in an eye of the stabilizer or on a control lever. Use new самоконтрящиеся nuts.
